Why buy on GOG.COM?
DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play.
Clunky FPS mechanics and immersion breaking character animations that scream 'you're in a video game'. Not polished. Feels like a seven year old game. Not inspired to continue playing as presented.
No more preorders for CDPR.
After around 25 hours in game, I can say that the more I play this game, the less I like it. The hype built up for this game was way too much to ever live up to, and so when it was released in the buggy and broken state it's in, it makes sense for me and many others to be disappointed by the product we've received. This is all expanded by their "generous" minimum PC requirements and recommened PC requirements. IF having an RTX 2060 super is enough to run medium RTX at 60 FPS, I feel really bad for anyone with the recommended PC requirements, or people on console...
*Not as customizable as presented and hyped. You have limited choices at the beginning, when you make your character.Last time you enjoy it,as there is no option to add tattoo's,piercings,no body mods no 3rd pers cam. When you try to look into the mirrors (V's apartment) it's only a mat image with eyes.
You don't change the outcome with your decisions (replies you choose). You end up many times steering the narrative in an aggressive direction, but take the mission in a totally friendly, best buds tone (or vice- versa).
Enemies are bullet sponges
You have to loot each item individually;the info of what was looted is a text that can hardly be read,if you looted for example a recording (the notification stays forever)
Regarding the previous point,it's really non intuitive and clunky
I can see why Keanu wanted to represent this game, but the mechanics of what he supported this game for is tedious, excremental and adds zero
AI Interactions are reduced to some texts above their heads, that don't sync with their speech animations. You can't do anything with them,as far as `socializing` ,only brutal force works
Police just spawns behind you
Cars drive in a linear manner, they don't stop to avoid you (trucks just run you over),if you just stop they don't avoid you
You can't interact with all the environment as previously stated (you can't pick up bottles and fight with strangers,or just enter random buildings)
Overall I’d call the world in this game a scripted movie in which if you go along (linear),it's OK,but if you want the freedom from GTA let’s say, you're out of luck.
The game overall feels unfinished, like it's a trailer or something (AI is the most annoying thing that makes it seem lifeless).
Speaking of GTA,it has resemblances.3 main characters, one rich, one trying to be thug and one crazy, but GTA (2013) kick this game's behind.
DeusEX is an overall far better game,at punk bodymods mostly.
I regret buying it.I play max 15 min's and I keep closing it.I barely drag it through.
Buggy, unoptimized, and which is most unforgivable, unfinished. I'm fine with waiting another 2 years or however long you need and play a game that has actual depth. I'm not fine with whatever this is.
Cyberpunk 2077 is like a beautiful Ferrari sitting in a garage without engine and interiors.
The game looks beautiful and the storyline could be interesting, too bad the game is just a over-hyped early access that should have been in the oven for another 2-3 years of development.
Everybody knows by now that this game is a hot pot of bugs and graphical glitches on both PC version and consoles, but what really made this game a complete fail (for now at least) it's the non-existent AI.
For how hard you will try to immerse yourself into this futuristic world and enjoy the main quest as well as the side quests, the ridiculous AI will always ruin your experience. Try to shoot your gun in a square filled with people and in less than a second all the npcs will just magically disappear, and cops will spawn from nowhere shooting at you with pixel perfect precision, no matter if you're in an interior situation or outdoor.
Try to just punch a npc in front of a crowd and you will get everybody else ducking on the ground for miles.
Everything in this game is just PROPS, your actions inside this world don't matter and all you can do is just following the main quest and try to enjoy its story despite all of the problems I just described.
I've already asked for a refund cause I haven't been able to play anymore after the 1.04 patch, it keeps crashing to desktop. So for now my Cyberpunk 2077 experience is done.
See you in a few years, when maybe this game will actually be released, this time for real.
