Pffff

This is not a complete game. Now it is a beta and we are doing the beta testing. I better times it was done by testers and not customers who payed 60 Euros for it. I have made the mistake of pre-pruchasing the game. I also invested 50+ hours in to it, dispite the bug fest it is. After this much time have I realized that one of the main sotry quests is broken so I can't progress any further. Also one of the side quest series is also broken making it unable to coplete it after 17 quests. I won't even try to list the minor glitches I encountered. They are not that annoying, they just f*ck up the immersion, Also, the game is nowhere near what it promised in complexity and immersion anyways. Don't expect a living, breathing city. AI is as complex as in GTAIII, maybe. Only drivers won't even try to escape in case of an attack. The story, as much as I could see, before it gone broke, is linear and you don't have much of an effect on the world. Fighting is ok but nothing extra. It's an FPS with some melee if you want and some skill choices that give some RPG resemblance to the game. Crafting is "meh". It looks good but not jaw dropping. So in summary: wait with it until it is properly patched. Right now I'd avoid it.

Looking for an RPG? This is not it

Whoa boy. Lotta to say here. Bugs apart (seeing as they are being fixed as we speak and you have seen materials on them already), game fails as an RPG completely and utterly. It has the same issues with roleplaying as Witcher 3 had - meaning you did not really had a choice in any miningful way on how you build your character. It kinda worked in Witcher as the character of Geralt was well defined and choices offered matched his moods of brooding, chilled or angry, but herethis fails with a new character you wish to embody choices you would make. Game is closer to blend of immersive sim like Dishonored and GTA style sandbox. It's not terrible, but it is not an RPG it is advertised as. Most of activities or gameplay approaches shown in promotional materials are taken out of cutscenes, or not present in the game at all. Story is serviceable, nothing special here, buddy cop movie from the 80's wrapped in cyberpunk aesthetics. Johnny steals the show here - this loveable asshole steals the show whenever he reats his head. Presentation, graphics, the "feel" or ambiance of the places you visit - top notch, once you get it to run. Music is great as well. Once main story and all additional bigger jobs are finished, very little left to do. Story finale does not encourage to further play at all. Was this game enjoyable tho? hell yes, one of the best i have played this year. Should use some balancing - i do not mind being OP, but AI of enemies needs fixing -waay dumber than in Skyrim. This game cloud use at least 6 months of development more. All in all it is a good, but hella dissapointing game, that does not deliver on what it has prommised, however what it delivers is still enjoyable. VtM:Vloodlines comes to mind as a comarison - broken at launch, getting the studio into trouble, broken, but loveable. All in all, Bloodlines was more of an RPG than this.

Love the game, but...

As much sh!t as the console versions get for performance and bugs, the PC version is a mess too and CDPR needs to address it. I have a 2080 Ti, I should be able to play the game at 4k 60fps, especially with DLSS enabled(yes CDPR, even on balanced which upscales from 1080p). Why is this game soooo poorly optimized? Yeah, it runs... but im getting legit half the performance(if not less) I would get in literally any other game with my PC, and that includes Witcher 3 which runs at a locked 60fps at 4k on max settings. I know Cyberpunk is a prettier game than Witcher, but not by much. I'd even argue that Witcher looks better a lot of the time, especially when it comes to it's NPC's. Even Death Stranding runs at a locked 4k/60 without DLSS, and it looks wayyyy better. Long story short, the game runs horribly and it needs to be addressed as soon as the holiday comes to an end. I'm just shy of 60 hours into the game at the time of writing this review, so nobody better come in and claim I haven't even installed the game and i'm just joining in on the backlash. Ive seen it tons, and let me just say that i adore the narrative(illusion of choice/consequence aside). The game is just a poorly performing and buggy mess. That's unfortunately a fact right now. Wish it wasn't.

Just go play a ubisoft game

Lots of media coverage on the technical side, not very much on the gameplay. This is NOT an rpg similar to witcher in any way. This is a far cry game without any of the polish. The shooting doesn't feel right, the combat sucks. Quest design is cookie cutter at best. Personally, What irks me most is how this game did not take inspiration from any of the great cyberpunk games like system shock, deus ex, or the blade runner pc game. You should go play those games instead if you want a better interpretation of cyberpunk. Otherwise, skip this and go play any of the far crys made after 3. It's baffling that these same people made witcher 3. Side note: they killed off my fav character really early on and tbh I just lost all interest in the main quest afterwards

Was going to give 3/10 but rounded down

Very buggy and not that interesting of a game. Every time I wanted to enjoy it, the npcs would glitch out to no end - the final boss teleported into a wall. I didn't experience any crashes but the only part I enjoyed was the end - from either it being the end or because it was the only 3rd person cutscene. It's a game that wants to be every game but ended up leaving no mark. The city looks amazing on the outside but it's all superficial and empty. The driving is horrendous. AI is terrible. There seems to be many options for dialogue in the beginning then it seems to take you on another linear path. The limited amount of cybernetic enhancements was also disappointing. Maybe in a couple years the game will be fixed but as of now it's not worth buying. Even if they fix all the bugs, the lack of content and lack of player choices will never be amended fully.
