Holy hell did this game need to bake for longer. RPG lite options that do not actually mean anything, skill trees that have worthless (and broken) nodes, little QA testing. Who has a mini map that doesn't zoom out while driving at 100+km\hr so you know when you need to make a turn before it pops up? Crafting is bolted on and was causing save game corruption due to it saving the entire world state and your crafting history in it. And limited it to 8 MB. Where’s the sanity in that? Surely, they knew that’d cause issues. The skill tree does add options to combat, however I’m reasonably sure that you could finish the game without much difficulty by ignoring it entirely. I could tolerate the launch messes that were the Witcher games and CDPR had the good will to know they will fix it, but this game is several magnitudes worse. I’m dubious if they’ll get the game to a level of polish that it should have before calling it done and moving on. Those with limited bandwidth: Patches thus far are 4x the initial install size and while addresses hundreds of bugs, has barely scratched the surface. There’s a reason MS and Sony removed it from their stores and issued no questions asked refunds. Wait until they think things are solid enough before purchasing as you’ll get a far better experience. If you have a beefy system and can turn on all the eye candy you’ll get a fantastic looking mediocre game.

Why can't you be more like your big brother Witcher 3? Souch a huge dissapointment. Maybe i give it another go when the first expansion releases. Not that i have any plans buying it (i learned my lesson with this game) but it will possiblie come with a even bigger patch.

This game consists of an intro Heist mission and whatever is the end "no return" part for the plot line you chose. Not that there is a difference of what you choose. Not that any decisions matter. Not that there are different ways to go through this game and, for example, do it without killing anyone and get a slightly different ending/results. Your choice doesnt matter, your play style doesnt matter, the plot line and character you choose dont matter. This was based on the TTRPG system why again? Is this game pretty? Yes. When it works and when you dont go outsie of important plot locations. The "open world" is dead and filled with NPCs with no purpose. The more you "fix" this game guys, the more it becomes broken. More updates = more crashes. Was able to play it for Corpo twice right after launch, without all the "fixes" - now it simply refuses to launch. Do i regret I bought this game? No. Do I feel bad about CDPRs droppin stock value after they launched this game. No. Not at all. Fully deserved.

I really want to like this game and I keep coming back and trying to play it, but as soon as I get a game breaking bug I quit and wait for the next patch. So now here it has been 7 months since the game released, and still this thing is full of bugs. I have seen a lot of good things from CD Projekt Red in the past, but this game changed my opinion completely. The very beginning of the game you end up having a quest telling you to wait at the elevator for some dude, and he doesn't show, so you go check, and he is just stuck all crouched down. Close the game, come back, and now he goes to the elevator through walls, and then won't talk to you in the elevator, just stands there, close the game, and don't come back in, we got better time wasters than that.

Look back at the reviews from 2020, I see a lot of negatives from people. The Team has come a very long way with patches, and I am very hopeful, DLC for more Nomad and Panam quests... Please... Good: - Closest we'll likely get to a Ghost in the Shell universe. - Immersive city scapes that are fairly well thought out and can actually get you lost. - Pop up quests. - Very good main storyline. - Multiple starting points. Improves: = Divergent stories patch. = Cohesive faction dynamics (When I'm in a street fight the Tigers better show up if they're close) = DLC. The gifts are awesome, and we really appreciate them! I'd like to see more story development. = Story potential left on the table. Team, don't get discouraged by the negative reviews. You have a very solid project if you build on it. You have a choice. = Open to modders. This is outside of my technical expertise, and I have not researched it out. But I would like to see a Fallout, Oblivion, Morrowind type mod community around this game. How do we facilitate that? Thank you for reading this review. Please let me know if you have questions.
