Cyberpunk 2077

On Twitter, Youtube, Facebook, "secret", messages. I have next to nothing nice to say about Keanu 2077. It fails to deliver on every single aspect not only as an open world RPG but it is NOT the product that has been advertised for 9 or even 5 years. When I say Keanu 2077 fails to deliver I mean it fails in the same way as not writing your name at the top of the paper when turning in a test. I hate the 1 dimensional A- Z story. I hate the mostly 1 dimensional cast. I hate the criminal waste of unparalleled voice acting talent. (Excluding Keanu) I hate the setting and how it is completely UNIMPORTANT to V's (the main character) story. I hate the lack of immersive elements for a game meant to be played in FPP. I hate that I waited 9 years to have menu based crafting that is LESS COMPLEX in every possible metric than MineCraft Crafting. I hate the Windows95 UIX that took 9 years to develop. I hate the fact that there are 0 Branching story elements. This is not Hyperbole. I hate that for 9 years of development you can't even preview clothing items before you purchase them. I hate that for 9 years of development we have Oblivion levels of character builders. I hate that yet another title originally exclusive to PC was derailed trying to pander to consoles. I can go on but this is the Final Word I will say about Cyberpunk 2077. I played it...and last night was its final uninstallation. I have no interest in revisiting it. I don't believe or have interest in searching for a reason to believe that some kind of magical DLC is going to, "fix", this. Please note I did not mention the, crapped your pants in public level of embarrassing amount of bugs for 9 years of development. I don't know what happened, I don't really care to find out at this point. It's over. Congrats CDPR on making it big. I hope it was worth it. I hope you find someone to sell your products to because for me this was a first and a last. It's a 1 Star game but at least they, "turned in", something.

Even on PC this game is barely playable, you might get decent performance but its ridden with quest breaking bugs. This game should not have been released in the state it is in. The gameplay is decently fun, but nothing mindblowing. This game also has issues with repetitive quests and boring cutscenes. I would give it a 3/5 if the bugs were fixed.

I am a Cyberpunk fanboy. Not so much the game or this company; however, I used to love playing Cyberpunk tabletop and really looked forward to what this game could be. This is not what I hoped nor expected; it was not what I was sold that it could be for the past several years. Written for 01/11/2021 on patch 1.06; The game looks amazing; beautiful. The sounds are pretty good, but not the best. Bugs exist, but not so bad on this deployment. Current state of the game could have used six months to another year or so just to polish this out considerably better. The main story line is short. When I finally beat the game, I couldn't believe how exceptionally short the main campaign really was. There were a number of side quests that were longer and better done. Now that I've completed the game, I feel no motivation to go back and play. No spoilers here; for myself, I have no need to play further. Side stories are where the game does shine. Some are incredibly deep and well written, some are stupid and shallow. The good ones do out weigh the bad, but the bad definitely outnumber the good. Combat: Works, but could have been considerably better. Not the best, not the worst. AI is terrible. Police system is one of the worst implementation I've ever seen. Summation: It's a wonderful world I really wanted to see shine. It does... but as soon as you really play the game, you'll see its exceptionally empty. It's big, its vast, and so very empty. There is a lot of pretty fluff to impress, but it leaves you wanting so much more. For myself, it felt like a Dues Ex clone in an open world with no "load" screens (elevators anyone?) with a lesser implementation for RPG elements, combat, hacking, and enjoyment. Maybe, I'll come back in a year and look again; though I doubt it.

It looks great, most of the time and is fun, most of the time. The performance is bad, it helps a bit when activating the slow HDD mode, I have installed it on an M.2 with 3000MB/s read and write. I foung many visual bugs, which are not that annoying. I have played 50 in one save and it still doesnt get boring, but I now have at least 3 missions that are broken and many perks that dont do anything, like increasing the droprate of quickhacks, its still 0. I have the feeling that it became normal, that every big game gets released as an alpha and then gets finished in the following 2 years, so I still have hope, that it gets better
