Not even an hour in, and you can see what a broken mess it is. It couldn't even deliver what other open-world games did a decade ago or even from their own Witcher 3. You need a mod just to change your hairstyle, seriously.
I had this game refunded because it doesn't even start, and this seems to be a common problem, especially with Windows 7 users (despite the system requirements saying 7 would work). I'm above the recommended requirements in every other way (except that I use a mechanical hard drive). The last patch I tried before refunding was 1.0.6, and it did the same as all the others: create a text file in the EXE's directory, then quickly delete it.
WINE in Linux works slightly better, in that it starts, but it will crash in 5-15 minutes and might freeze your entire desktop.
This game is so broken, even the patcher programs don't work - If you do the offline install, you have to redownload and reinstall the entire game. I've never had an issue with any other GOG games patching, and I always do offline install.
Terrible character creation unless of course you want a single cookie cutter body that is wimpy wimpy wimpy if you pick a male. Character creation is definitely not up to current industry standards.
Then there are the endlessly annoying phone calls that guess what you are forced to answer and listen to that interfere with your game.
Oh and if you like being led around by the nose then this game is for you.
This game came out of the oven way too soon. Put it back in and get it right.
Hundred bugs and glitches everywhere aside this game technicaly is outdated even on highend rig seems lika a game released 10 years ago unpolished and unfinished with cut out content, stupid IA means no challenge (even on hardest difficulty is too easy), poor writing; story, quests and NPCs (comparing with the quality writing in Witcher 3 is a huge step down) are boring and forgettable, skills and perks not working as intended or not working at all, clunky melee fighting, average shooting, extremly clunky driving.
Nor patches or updates will fix so many problems and CDPR are liars.
I regret i gave them my 60 euros.
After the game has been on sale for so long, I have downloaded it again. Everything in the game is familiar. It tastes like shit. It is said that the optimization bugs have been fixed, but I guess those very famous bugs have been fixed. After reading the update log of 1.3, I realize that the game is a commercial fraud from beginning to end. Witcher3 is a good game. Cdpr has been successful since witcher3 was a great success Since then, the taste of game development has changed. Coerced by capital, the game itself can no longer be polished slowly, but can only be delayed again and again, and finally give players a semi-finished product
