Feels like an Alpha of a great game...

Stepping into the cyberpunk world you can tell just how much love this game was started with, the ambitions the developers had in creating it. However it falls short on so many aspects and while we all are waiting for fixes, I fear some of these problems may be "Unfixable" at least without significant money and effort. First the good, the game is gorgeous (on systems that can take advantage of it). The characters when fleshed out really pull you into the story of the game. This game is astonishingly wide but very shallow, as in there are many many things to do but not a lot to do with them. Now for what needs improvement. Besides the many bugs and glitches that many others have pointed out. The city is dead, the npc's that you are not directly supposed to interact with in the story are completely lifeless and seem to have one of 3 walking models. This game gives the feeling of a extremely rushed development at the end as there are many interesting plot points (Braindancing) that are terribly underused. While you develop relationships with characters through missions, there is little you can do to interact with them outside of that. The AI of NPC's is one of the worst iterations I have encountered in a long time. Police, Enemy gangs, friendly gangs all alike will get suspcious of you just being in the vicinity. The police chases are a joke. The game does very little to distinguish between most of the gangs so I find myself blasting first and asking question later. This game has the base to be a generation defining game. However its scale may work against it at this point because while the game is VAST, the problems inherent in almost every system too become vast. I fear this may require too much money and work to fix in a reasonable amount of time. CD PROJEKT RED earned this disaster when they over-hyped an unfinished game. Hopefully next time they can under-hype/over-deliver.

The Game Is Not Even in "ALPHA" State!

Long Story Short ... the game should have stayed in development for at least a couple more years... It is a HUGE dissapointment and it is not even Decent considering the Hype it got and the volume of the pre-orders, to say <<"F" it at least they tried>> ... no ... they did not try ... what they did is they let themselves get pushed to release a game which was meant to be a reference for the years to come ... and they released a Joke. - Broken physics all over the place (You watch at things inside the game and they start flying making you feel like xavier) ... the game reminds me of Far Cry 1 and makes me feel like FC was by far a better game that this is (Even FC1 was better polished)! - Movement _ Player animations ... even a 5 euro Indie game from a sole Developer has better and more realistic animations - Bugs? Not really need to say anything more than 1000 articles online already regarding bugs! - Killing someone will spawn enemies out of nowere in front of you hunting you down ... 0 realism of getting hunted by all means! - NPC models might come 3 of the same in a row sitting on the same couch playing a guitar which is invinsible ... - Moving inside CB world is like a punch in your face with how unpolished and blunt everything is - Graphics and performance? the game acts like if it was made on DX11 and makes you wonder if they made it on DX12 only for the inclusion of DLSS and RTX - I better stop here or I will end up writing a book with flaws :( Bottom Line ... If you are considering buying it you better think twice as it is meant to offer your frustration and dissapointment the way the game is atm ... I am totaly dissapointed by the game I was delivered I would have waited as much as needed to get at least a decent game but instead we got delivered "that". It was the last time I put my faith on CDPR. First I was lett down by how they ended up making Gwent after investing close to 100euro in it and now Cyberpunk is another let down ... that is a shame!

Unplayable, crashes and depressing

After playing this game for 28 hours i can not finish it. The further i progressed in the game the more crashes appeared. my save file is at 3MB now and basically doing anything crashes the game instantly. game breaking bugs as the helicopter mission not ending seem to be "normal" for everyone to get. The sheer ammount of graphics glitches would be quite funny if the whole package wasnt so nervewrecking and sad to waste your time with. At least in between the crashes you get to laugh about npcs sitting in the air. The open world tries to impress you with its massive skyscrapers and deserves to be explored, as soon as you do that you will be punished by weird/missing collision boxes and death barriers. In your home skyscraper there is an entire floor modelled, with npcs and shops but it seems to have been cut last minute. even if you manage to parcour your way down you instantly die. The story does not fit for an open world game. You are railroaded through the missions, choices dont matter and you are psychologically pressured into continuing the main story instead of exploring on your own. I looked up the endings since i can not finish the game and calling them depressing would be very mild. The police is an absolute nightmare. Just looking at them the wrong way will get you killed within seconds, even killing gangs sometimes calls them. Now lets get to the positive stuff: In there is a really nice core game and you really notice the love that went into it. The atmosphere of just walking arround the city is amazing. This futuristic dystopia with calming mallsoft vaporwave playing in the whole city is undescribable. Gameplay is as you would expect from a looter shooter. Guns feel satisfying to use, they feel at least somewhat balanced from the double barrel shotgun to the heavy sniper and there is enough combat arround every corner to not get boring. On a RTX 3080 i got between 45 and 60fps on 1080p ultra (no DLSS) I genuinely can not recommend this game.

Disappointed

I didn't follow the marketing for the last year, because I was sure I will enjoy the game a lot. First bought the PS4 Version, what a crash. Now finished the PC Version and wow...it's a decent game, but not very good. The Story feels short and lacks the depth which the setting is offering for sure. It's progression is too fast at points and if you don't take your time you could probably finish it after 20h without learning a lot about the world, the characters etc. and there are some interesting stories in the game you can find or better to say, get over your phone. The world seems rather empty and has more of a stage character to it, then a real functioning world. To conclude, the game feels unfinished, I don't know where the money went and how bad the management must have been. But Witcher 3 was developed in less time, probably with less money, but delivered the overall better game. The world, characters, story everything was better. The game is mediocre, in all parts, except the technical aspect, it's a horrible bugfest. Hope they can take care of that in the futur.

Quite okay if you forget the hype

Witcher 3 been one of the few games I finished all the way and loved it for the sarcastic dialouges and cool character, the stories and the graphics. Cyberpunk has the great graphics yet I can´t identify with my V. First one was a woman and her wisewit way of trying to be cool got so much on my nerves that I restarted the game halfway with a male guy and switched to english (1st german). Feels grindy to do all the missions again and I simply can´t find other ways to do them, it all ends up in big shootings. Also because it´s the easiest. Maybe shooting and roleplaying doesn´t work together well, but I don´t enjoy the so and so many times, I have to hit an enemy kind of fights. Some of the storytelling is original, the characters are for sure, driving a car is a drag, motorbikes are okay. In total the second run feels like work and maybe it´s more fun again, when I reach new quests, yet I am disappointed that there are no new questways of getting to the same points in the game. So overall after the first impressive glitter it´s an okay game which will not keep me long, though I would love to.
