No major bugs that imepedes gameplay or progress most bugs encountered are "cosmetic" like floating cars and T-poses with some truly awesome meteorite cars dropping from sky. Had 3 major crashes with now 70hrs playtime. Runs on ULTRA RT preset settings mostly around 70-60 FPS with DLSS on quality.
These bugs do not take away the fact that I have enjoyed playing the game. Main Story (so far) is excellent and the side mission are equal to the main story. Game was what I was expecting as a fan of Deus Ex games and shooter style RPG:s. With round of patches to fix bugs, add missing features & balancing this has a a possibility to become truly excellent.
Yes the game is buggy as hell. Fortunately for me personally the bugs (so far) are not gamebreaking but they affect the immersion a bit. I'm about 60 hours in and I honestly don't want it to end so I stay off the main quest as I heard it's quite short.
I haven't experienced much of an issue in terms of performance myself although I know that for many it is a problem. And the game looks absolutely stunning. One of the few games where I rarely use fast travel as the environments are so detailed and interesting to look at.
Some criticize the simplicity of RPG elements. For me the game strikes good balance between action shooter and RPG. The interface, especially inventory, could use some love but I'm more than OK with the progression, crafting, loot and skill trees.
It's disappointing to hear that some aspects of the game may have been cut out like the longer introduction (building friendship with Jackie which is only shown as a cutscene), some characters like fixers appear out of nowhere and it feels like there was (and if there wasn't then there defo should be) a longer explanation who is who and why, the train system that was meant to be there (it's even in the screenshots!), car and character customization etc.
The city sometimes feels very alive (like in the bazaars or in front of V's apartment) but other times it really does feel superficial - I would love to be able to interact with the world more through some mini games, random encounters (RDR2 style but that's a bar set very high) etc. NPCs are robots who do nothing but walk around and react in a basic way. Police truly is a joke and not a challenge despite them spawning behind you. And the AI of traffic and enemies is quite bad...
But in between those issues there is a masterclass of storytelling in the main and the side quests. I really like the cast of characters and the acting. I will keep playing and will definitely replay once the bugs are ironed out and New Game+ is introduced.
Game is great, there are some bugs with AI and random flying cars, but way better than I remember Skyrim or Fallout.
Works great at full quality with 5600X and 3070. Owners of old consoles like PS4 should stay silent with that retro gear.
The game is great. I understand that the bugs are annoying and spoil the better impression, but the technical bugs can be removed. When the game mechanics are bad, nothing will improve it. Here, no one can call the plot are bad or say that there are no side missions in the game. Are side missions repeatable? And which game are they not? After 90 hours in the game I can say one thing: I am waiting for patches and I am going to play this game a second time. And I have one objection: where is the New Game +? I would like to play my character a second time.
I just finished the game after ~60 hours and it was a lot of fun! Great storylines. Loved the sidequests.
I often encountered minor bugs/clitches, but those did never diminich the fun I had. Performance was good without Raytracing (RTX 2060 Super, Ryzen 5 2600X).
I'm definitely going to play it again, when there are some more patches and I'm already waiting for the DLCs.
Good Job CDPR!
