The Most Anticipated RPG

The game looks good, but it feels lifeless, except for the main and side quest interactions. The plethora of technical issues really dominated the gameplay, as well as the most recent capping of save file. My first playthrough got deleted without any warnings or that "corrupted file" error message, so I decided to play it again, but it felt tedious to go back where I was. I am not going to refund the game as I am hoping for CD Projekt Red to fix, finish, and improve it. Though I am just using an RTX 2060 GPU, the technical issues persisted even on the optimal settings. Here are some of the issues I had: 1. T-Posed NPCs. They invaded Night City, especially Afterlife. 2. Falling from the map. 3. Automatically firing handguns and assault rifles. 4. Clipping of vehicles to NPCs and even V. 5. Most of the time, the NPCs, even the main characters were speaking with their mouths closed. 6. Spoiler Alert! At the beginning of Delamain's quest, a part of V's or Delamain's car always floated after the crash. 7. Countless pre-rendered NPCs, vehicles, and assets even you are near to them. 8. Spoiler Alert! The Cyberpsycho Lt. Mower had her lower half clipped to the floor. It's like I am fighting a futuristic dystopian manananggal (A Filipino folklore monster). 9. The sky became yellow all of a sudden. This looked cool, but if this is a bug, it's better to have this removed. 10. Spontaneously igniting and exploding vehicles, food stands and "dead" NPCs. 11. I didn't know that Mystique is also in the game. I've seen NPCs changing their forms in the blink of an eye. 12. I experienced dying from being trapped between cardboard boxes. 13. The minimap was not showing the correct route. 14. When you fire at mirrors, they shatter, but the impact remains. Weird. Please fix the game. Finish it. Polish it. Make it playable. Let us be free to use the auto and manual saves. Give compensation for those who did not refund it. Redeem your reputation, CDPR.

That game is sci-fi art for me

I'm in the process of playing on my PC, I like the game a lot. I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews. It seems to me that this is due to the long waiting time for the game, so the expectations are probably too high. I like the city vibe the most, but I also see a lot of real art in the game, which makes me very happy. For example, street art in the game, or some visuals such as braindance, have many elements of art. I respect that because the game not only gives me a lot of fun, but also something valuable. It makes me think about futurology and Sci-fi.

A Modern VtMB (Both Good & Bad)

The game feels a lot like Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines in some ways that I almost wish it would lean harder into the similarities. It may be more appropriate to call it a lite Bloodlines. The actual role-playing element of Cyberpunk 2077 is even less pronounced with very little stat management - a more streamlined approach that encourages getting right into the action, may it be total bombast or slower, clandestine gameplay. The intial choice of a "Lifepath" during character creation in Cyberpunk 2077 is little more than a unique, 15 minute prologue and an ability to use unique dialogue options in certain conversations. Which is a very subtle version of Bloodlines' clan selection. There's a list of wishful possibilities that Cyberpunk's character creation could have offered, but what's there is fairly simple but comparable to similar games. Perhaps, in regard to the game itself, both titles have suffered from odd bugs and glitches throughout; hopefully, in due time, Cyberpunk 2077 will receive its needed patches or unofficial patches to smooth out the experience. Overall, the game is playable and enjoyable despite the hitches. It does suffer from having a lot of repetitive side quests, called "Gigs". Some, more proper side quests, develop the world and its characters, but some are mere distractions to help earn more experience and loot. The story and its universe are engaging and a vision of a dark future. Though, currently, the in-game, playable, open world is a little static and appears to be more of a setpiece or prop as you travel between story beats. Again, much like Bloodlines, this is an "adult"-oriented game. Some topics explored can be fairly dark - which adds another odd coincidence, both games feature missions involving snuff films. All-in-all, if you're expecting a massive, in-depth, lifelike, simulation-lite, RPG set in a cyberpunk world - this isn't it. If you enjoy games like Bloodlines or looking for a cool story to playthrough - do it.

A fun work in progress

The game clearly is in need of polishing up, but for what it is offering now and hopefully later on with future updates and patches, its a good game & i'm still enjoying it..
