Great stuff and a glitchfest

First of all - thanks CDPR, we love what you do, this game will entertain us for years. Yeah there's bugs and glitches, but I'm sure those will be fixed (although some of the bugs are really bizarre and have me worried). Also it runs like a dream on my RTX system (without RT), happy with that. Love the music, sound, voice acting, beautiful visuals and the combat is satisfying. Playing the nomad path - wtf the beginning sucks ass, was expecting a nice intro story before going to the city, now I have no idea who I am or where I come from as V. And the "X months later" montage that comes after, although cool, makes it even worse. Really bad narrative choice here, a far cry from the excellent White Orchard location from W3. That aside, looking forward to playing more, lots more. On a side note - please fire your QA team - shipping a product in this state is unacceptable. Plus the UI needs work - feels like it's still in beta - does not match the quality of the rest of the game.

Has it's moments

It's a stunning game visually. Night city looks amazing and I can see that a lot of effort has been put into making the game run as well as it does with the graphical overload. The story as well is interesting and will take you onto a great journey. But, it has it's technical flaws. To me, it's nothing major. It's an enjoyable game, and I didn't set my expectations high to begin with. Hype is rarely good after all. But, if you're not a fan of bethesda esque bugs and glitches. Maybe hold off for a couple months while things area ironed out. (That said, a big game like this is bound to have some issues. Don't expect things to be glitch free.) One thing I am missing though, is an option to report bugs and glitches early. Sure, it might be a lot of noise for the developers, but at the same time it seems like a shame to be unable to share this information...

great game but sadly a mess at launch

Personally I had my expectations low because I knew this game would have a ton of bugs. The witcher 3 day 1 had the same problem. Now how they handled the console port was a utter disgrace and I think they should stick to PC only but to get back on topic. I'm having a blast and love how the city feels alive and the main missions are amazing. now they need to add a lot more player friendly elements. I mean how can TW3 have a barber shop but not this? very confusing but i'm happy with what i'm playing and hope they make massive improvments throughout 2021.

I just played 16 hours over night!

I am 46, and I rarely get caught in a night-session of gaming. But this one is very good, and on my machine very stable. Not a single crash, good GFX with amazingly detailed faces even on NPCs, good gameplay, good sound. If you played Deus Ex Human Revolution and Mankind Divided, this is a big step further and way more open, but without ventilation crawling. Instead of a long pro-con list things that stand out for me: Once you are beyond the Introduction-and-tutorial mission you walk around on the streets. ALL NPCs LOOK SO DIFFERENT! They all walk at different speeds, there are many walking styles including many variants of "female" walking styles, including several limping variants. Young, old, homeless, rich, kids, skin color, simply everything... And they are not aggressive like those GTA NPCs. You don't habe invisible walls railroading you, and you can walk through the whole city right from the beginning. And the city offers a lot, REALLY a lot variations. Just walk around and listen, and some sidequests will pop up, though you should be careful since sidequests in further away areas tend to be too difficult for an Level 3 character. It has a VERY fair savegame system, enough slots and three quicksaves - IMHO the best implementation, like Mimimi studios does it too. Play it, you won't be disappointed! Footnotes: I am German, and we are quick to complain. Especially from my part of Germany. "Nix gemeckert ist Lob genug!" @GOG: When will you allow editing of reviews? To fix typos, or to change it when an updates fixes a problem. This way many negative reviews would get one more star later, like some of my negative reviews.

Glad for the extra time in production.

I am currently playing on a offline - disconnected from the internet computer. I'm loving it, finally another decent modern single player game that does not require a internet connection with a third party EULA attached to a proprietary DRM launcher to install. Little known fact: I will never engage with the epic or steam stores due to the forced requirements placing a middle man (Steam/Epic EULA & launcher) between me and a game I purchased. Thank you for not requiring Cyberpunk be downloaded and installed only through Gog Galaxy with a internet connection, as I am enjoying my offline gameplay. Still running 1.03, though the 1.04 patch is downloaded on a independent computer. Its apparent the extra time in production was needed, & the situation of 2020 didn't helped either. So for your benefit I will list a few pros and cons I've hit. Pros : Controls - did take some getting used to on the keyboard. Could easily switch between the keyboard and controller, when ever necessary or wanted. Exploration - is GREAT! 20 hours in & I still haven't completed the first main quest at the All Food. Aesthetics - The attention to detail is crazy, randomized and changing placement of advertisements, feels lived in. Lore - Sheesh, this goes into extreme depths. I dunno if I'll be able to read, let alone find, all the shards laying around. Makes want to know if there is a "Info Bomb" Quickhack. Cons : Pre-install was crazy, took 2 days as my internet connect kept dropping & corrupting the download. I was hoping for some Cyberpunk Blu-ray disc install action, or maybe a Themed USB Shard. Texture bug - after playing for a while, 6-8hrs, the textures sometimes go weird. Evelyn with a full red face. Bugs and glitches : - Calling someone only to have them appear next to you too. That's some holographic phone tech! Obviously it is not meant to happen, but it adds a bit of fun. - NPC's appearing out of nowhere or just cowering for no reason. - Some odd object collisions.
