Rough gem

I think CDPR were heavily limited by the previus-gen consoles. A game way ahead of its time, I think it should've never been for PS4 or Xbox One. It feels like they spent more time sorting out the compatibility for those consoles and for some very low end PC configurations, respectively (though with a lower prio) than trying to fix some of the immersion-breaking bugs. I simply cannot give it 5 stars in this current state (Version 1.04). Looking forward for additional bug fixes and expansions. It can still turn out to be the best game of our generation and the best RPG to date, though from now on I'm 100% sure I'll never pre-order anything, not even a CDPR game. Cheers and stay safe!

Incredible Blade Runner Experience

I was very afraid about all the bad press that the game has generated, but the game is incredible in PC, more modest on PS5 (but not so much, I have the PC and PS4 Versions) and every step that I walk in Night City is splendid. I can't argue or excuse the actual state of the game in a PS4 Standar or Xbox One Standar, but I trust in the capability of the developer team to solve this. Played in PS5 and most time in a PC with i7 6700K, 970 GTX ,16GB de RAM and SSD. Also tested in a laptop with i7 4790, 16 GB Ram, and 970 PROS: - Very configurable in PC and run very well in PC and laptop. - Incredible world with liberty to go and solve the missions (and I still not complete the epilogue!!). - OST - Controller support very responsive - Easter eggs NEGATVE - Good inventory but a little confuse at the beginning. - Some esthetics bugs, nothing like a crash but some thinks like objects in the air mostly.

Buggy? Yes. Amazing? Frk Yeah!

So yeah it has a fair amount of bugs and glitches, but it is no more than one would expect from such a huge project. To be fair Elder Scrolls and Fallout games were much worse at launch than this one. The world looks amazing and it is incredibly dense. Tons and tons of stuff to do as well. I'm on a second more thorough playthrough and I am 40 hours into it and barely 1/5 of the way throught the story. The best way to keep bugs and stuff from affecting your game too much is to quick save and load every couple of hours. I've been playing these type of open world games since Daggerfall and Fallout 1 were new, and this is probably the best game I have ever played in my life. Just keep in mind that this is the worst state that the game will ever be in and it is still an incredible game. It only gets better from here. So if you are wary then wait 3-6 months then jump right on in and enjoy this incredible experience.

A decent game, too much hype

First of all i think the game is a great experience on PC overall and the main reason for much of the criticism is the over-hype and in a similar way to NMS CDPR allowing themselves to reinforce false impressions of their product. Don't get me wrong its a really good game already, but it tries to be a CDPR-Story-RPG, a Rockstar-Open-World Sandbox and a shooter all at once. CDPR did a great job on the story like i expected them to do since this is their biggest strength imo. However, since the game is such a vast world with completely new gameplay elements not seen in the witcher series i always expected those to be.. lacking. They are honestly better than i initially expected though still falling short of what many expected due to the hype, the open-world gameplay elements may not be as polished as GTA or other products that focus on this aspect (which CDPR historically has not really before, even The Witcher3 was only a semi-openworld) but they provide a workable base to build upon. I really do hope CDPR takes the Hello Games approach of really doubling down on their product to improve especially the performance and open-world weaknesses before focusing on things like addons. This would both help them regain some of the reputation they lost (especially with old-gen console buyers) and help them expand their line of game genres with another solid entry. On another note, I really believe that Cyberpunk 2077 in its current state is already a great platform which could be used for countless mods, which is why i do hope we get full modding support (unlike The Witcher 3 and more akin to Skyrim) this should greatly improve the longevity and reception of the game.

First CDPR game for me - Reality check

I have never played any of the Witchers or any other CDPR title. I purchased Cyberpunk 2077 from GOG for two reasons: 1. I have a powerful rig with a stunning 3440 x 1440 monitor and I like sprawling beatiful games in huge worlds. 2. I'm sick of Steam sticking it to Devs and refused to pad their pockets any more. What CDPR has SO FAR done to console purchasers is abhorrent. I almost purchased this on PS5 just to compare. I wouldn't dare purchase it on PS4 or Xbox One. This game should not have been sold to console players withough testing and a disclaimer that on last gen consoles it will barely run at 20FPS Currently, I'm building a new rig and look forward to seeing how Cyberpunk looks on it once it is done. Currently I am about 18hrs in to playing it on my current PC which is a custom closed loop water cooled i9 9900k overclocked w/a 2080ti overclocked and watercooled as well. Utilizing Geforce Experience to optimize the games graphics settings it is a beautiful game and I generally play around 70FPS which isn't bad. Mind you, my monitor will do more than double that. So that part is disappointing. Like other reviews have stated - the KB/Mouse first person experience isn't the best. On a few missions I pulled out a Scuf controller to not break my kb over my knee due to aim stabilization issues. Driving vehicles is very wooden, to the point where PUGB feels like you're playing F1 2020 by comparison. I've never been a big RPG player in 40 years of gaming, but so far this game has drawn me in. Based on the fact that the development budget has already been met - it is my sincere hope that they are working overtime to improve the game, fix bugs (like dying when crouched and rubbing certain objectsZ), better optimize the graphical experience and stop selling the fantasy that this enormous beautiful game will run on last gen consoles. Get to work and make Cyberpunk 2077 what it's capable of being. 4 Stars is for my experience and for potential.
