almost perfect!

I absolutely fell in love with night city! There are some bugs but at the end of the day I think they are extremely funny like enemies t-posing and stuff like that. But what I really hate about the game are the endings... I won't spoil anything but the game's main story is very short and I love everyone too much to decide on a decent ending... Otherwise the game is amazing! It's is even better than i expected keeping in mind that so many people pressed it to be released and then complain about too many bugs, like what do you expect! Gunplay and hacking feels refreshing and there are some funny guns and melee weapons I just can't stop using. just the endings... they just make me sad

A great RPG, but not perfect

I would say that Cyberpunk 2077 is a great RPG. Personally I've enjoyed the experience, and it's worth every dollar I spent on it. The story is engaging, the characters memorable (lots of them to memorise though, but that's another story), the dialogue immersive, the voice acting is fair, and the game mechanics are (mostly) solid. I've encountered many bugs, but nothing game-breaking (just UI glitches and quest givers talking over each other). One thing that kind of irritates me with this ilk of RPGs is the obtuse and abstract crafting mechanics. How does one 'upgrade' a Katana with some epic component? Also how/why do weapons have levels? I mean you pick up a katana at level 2 and then the same katana at level 5 is much stronger. I understand that this is done to make looting more interesting, but honestly it doesn't. I'd understand if this was made from a more powerful material that is unlocked, say, at a certain level (i.e., Skyrim style), but right now it feels like I'm stuck in a cycle of picking up weapons that quickly become outdated. This is quite a bad thing for crafting, where it feels unnecessary to do so, since a few levels down your crafted item will quickly become redundant. The music is not all that. There are no memorable scores (think Witcher 3 and how memorable the music score was for the hags, the bloody baron, gaunter o'dimm, etc.) To make things worse, the fight music is just... crazy. Think cat stepping all over a synthesiser crazy. The car ownership mechanic leads to grinding. Why not allow us to 'reprocess' stolen cars and keep them? The world does not feel alive, but it is beautiful. Cops give up at the drop of a hat... I mean I butchered three of their friends, do they really not care? They also have powers of teleportation apparently, since they just spawn behind you. Things just explode at random and insta-kill you. Hit a canister with a Katana by mistake? BOOM! You're toast. It can get really frustrating in melee.

I'm glad I played this game.

The plot is amazing! But the final ... In the final you exceeded all my expectations. The ending was so emotional that I cried. Perhaps not everyone likes this ending, but I really liked the denouement of the story. I don't want to talk about the problems of the game, you already know everything. P.S from 2020 turned out to be damned

Remarkable game with nearly fatal flaws.

Would rather not have been in the shoes of CDPR back on the 10th of December. They were damned if they moved forward with the release and damned if they decided to delay. It seems to me that 2 things happen in the 8 years since the first teaser: a.) People convinced themselves that the game will be exactly what they had in mind. b.) The amount of hype built up was impossible to live up to (not that CDPR themselves are not at least partially to blame for this). I highly doubt that this game was in active development for 8 years. Remember: 2015 - The Witcher 3 and Hearts of stone 2016 - Blood and Wine 2018 - Gwent and Thronebreaker CyberPunk 77 is lot like the Witcher 3. A lot of issues almost seem to be inhereted from the Witcher. Odd balancing choices, depth that seems to have been designed to be experienced through several playthroughs or just "be there if you want it" (crafting comes to mind, perfectly fine but so hard to get what you want (need a blueprint, the components and the skill lvl.) that it's easier to hunt down what you need, or not bother at all) Driving feels weird. Lots of oversteer, but also lots of grip, so it's mostly uncontrollable. Suspensions are '70s muscle-car soft, but cars are also sitting low, so they constantly bottom out. This causes excessive headbob in first person, not to mention that you will feel like you need a booster seat, cause the dashboards are so high, and you are sitting too low. The gunplay is fine, but the effective way is always the most boring (smart weapons). The main story is a lot shorter than I hoped. It has some (mostly amusing) bugs on PC, but if you have the rig, there is no game out there that compares. Everything else hovewer is a positive. Every square-inch of the map looks amazing, it drips atmosphere. Voice-acting is stellar, characters feel real, and the side stories are the true strength of the narrative. Even in it's current state it's more than most AAA game out there, but it's not CDPR's finest work.

Rough gemstone

In my opinion the game needs several patches to fix the bugs (and add water physics :D) and it will become a masterpiece! Also can you add kilometers per hour speedometer to cars? Intense game! Some of the quests were wicked, main story is captivating, Keanu's actor play is spot on! I love this game! Respect to the developers artists, actors and the entire CD Projekt Red team!! Keep on doing what you do best!
