Awesome and Beautiful game, great humour

I always loved beauty of the 2nd part of the Broken Sword Series, the animations are so great to look at, now the first part of the series has the same charm, with great humour, it became one of the most enjoyable Point and Click Adventure games I played. Now with the features you can expect from modern games of the genre, like fast forward, skip repetitive actions, perfect, plus few extras in comparison to the base game. Someone mentioned in previous reviews (mondik), that and I have had exactly the same - well it looks the same as I remember (probably thinking about 2nd part), but this one was much more rough around the edges, and the update is this much more apprreciated. Disclaimer: This is my childhood game series and I am heavily biased, but what not to enjoy in this game?

A good update on a classic

A good HD remaster of a great classic. It still hits that nostalgia spot, but it can't hide that some puzzles, and especially some of the dialogue and story beats, can feel very outdated to modern players. I also really appreciated the seamless switch between the old and new version, because sometimes the original art has a bit more verve and vibrancy than the newer, more polished backgrounds; this is particularly visible, for example, in the villa in Spain, where the new version is missing all of the warm, earth tones of the original.

Only in adventure games can you get such special character interactions. Great remaster of a great game

In a time where point and click adventure games are quite rare this updated version of Broken Sword is a faithful remake and a real joy to play. Great 4K graphics, a (for its time) captivating story and likeable characters. The new, highly configurable, interface does a good job as well. A few animations here and there could be a little bit more sophisticated but that's nitpicking. Recommended!
