Cross-platform multiplayer with Steam is supported.
Gather your party, and return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power.
Mysterious abilities are awakening inside you, drawn from a Mind Flayer parasite planted in your brain. Resist, and turn darkness against itself. Or embrace corruption, and become ultimate evil.
From the creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2 comes a next-generation RPG, set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons.
Choose from a wide selection of D&D races and classes, or play as an origin character with a hand-crafted background. Adventure, loot, battle and romance as you journey through the Forgotten Realms and beyond. Play alone, and select your companions carefully, or as a party of up to four in multiplayer.
Abducted, infected, lost. You are turning into a monster, but as the corruption inside you grows, so does your power. That power may help you to survive, but there will be a price to pay, and more than any ability, the bonds of trust that you build within your party could be your greatest strength. Caught in a conflict between devils, deities, and sinister otherworldly forces, you will determine the fate of the Forgotten Realms together.
Forged with the new Divinity 4.0 engine, Baldur’s Gate 3 gives you unprecedented freedom to explore, experiment, and interact with a world that reacts to your choices. A grand, cinematic narrative brings you closer to your characters than ever before, as you venture through our biggest world yet.
The Forgotten Realms are a vast, detailed and diverse world, and there are secrets to be discovered all around you -- verticality is a vital part of exploration. Sneak, dip, shove, climb, and jump as you journey from the depths of the Underdark to the glittering rooftops of the Upper City. How you survive, and the mark you leave on the world, is up to you.
allows you to combine your forces in combat, and split your party to follow your own quests and agendas. Concoct the perfect plan together… or introduce an element of chaos when your friends least expect it.
offer a hand-crafted experience, each with their own unique traits, agenda, and outlook on the world. Their stories intersect with the entire narrative, and your choices will determine whether those stories end in redemption, salvation, domination, or many other outcomes.
based on the D&D 5e ruleset. Team-based initiative, advantage & disadvantage, and roll modifiers join combat cameras, expanded environmental interactions, and a new fluidity in combat that rewards strategy and foresight.
through your choices, and the roll of the dice. No matter who you play, or what you roll, the world and its inhabitants will react to your story.
allows you to pause the world around you at any time even outside of combat. Whether you see an opportunity for a tactical advantage before combat begins, want to pull off a heist with pin-point precision, or need to escape a fiendish trap. Split your party, prepare ambushes, sneak in the darkness -- create your own luck!
Baldur's Gate III is great because it lets you yeet goblins and fuck bears. It has ruined many RPGs for me in the same way Fallout New Vegas has ruined the rest of the 3D-ers Fallout games for me.
Nothing has improved since 3 years ago. It's not a "Baldur's Gate" game, never was, and never will be. Got a refund the first time I bought it, was too late to ask for another one this time. Feel like being robbed, but this time it's on me for being naive and listening to my friends when they reassured me that this time the game is really awesome, and we should play multiplayer. Most positive reviews are probably bought and paid for, because by the quality of the game it seems that most money did *not* go to development.
Seems these negative review bombers didn't look at the guidlines for giving reviews

Don't remember being offended by a basic thing in life (sexuality) being part of that.
The game doesn't force you into these situations, YOU chose it. If YOU are offended by a possible choice in this game, that's on you, not the game.
I’m a big fan of CRPGs And am a big fan of divinity original sin 2 Pathfinder wrath of the righteous and the classic baldurs gate games and Baldurs Gate 3 is definitely the best western RPG I’ve ever played Even better than the RPG Greats like Skyrim and fallout the graphics and freedom of choice really make this game great baldurs gate 3 is huge and There’s so many things to do and areas to explore plus the split screen coop feature is amazing as most RPGs let alone most modern games these days lack this feature and it’s awesome that you can hook up two controllers and adventure through baldurs gate 3 with a family member or friend Also it’s awesome you can play as a Drow as they are rarely playable in dungeons and dragons games larian really did Dungeons and dragons and the baldurs gate classics Justice with this great game
Highly recommended
Great game, I'd give a 4.5 if I could only because I find Act 3 a little laggin for for a blockbuster game this is easily 60-200 hours of gameplay and enjoyment especially if you like to do things thoroughly and are any bit of a completionist!
Check this out you wont regret it, one of the best games of 2023 if not the very best!
