Baldur's Gate 3

After couple of hours I didn't encountered any bugs (Ryzen5, Vega64, 16GB RAM, NVMe SSD). The game itself is awesome in every possible way :) I think that low rating that this game receives is mostly because some people don't understand what Early Access means - it's not a beta, it's not a demo, it's a preorder of the full game with the possibility to play while the game is still under construction ;)

EARLY ACCESS REVIEW Pros: +++ no real time with pause! +++ turn based tactical combat + NPC Shadowheart + open world (take notes, Owlcat) + looks fantastic + so many different ways to solve quests + character generation has so many options for an isometric game + optional weighted dice feature for those are always unlucky + dark and disturbing story Cons: - finally get rid of the level cap - very slow with releasing additional content - some NPCs are lackluster (not Shadowheart) - romances Bottom Line: BALDUR'S GATE 3 has the potential to become the best RPG of all times. Larian has a good track record with DIVINITY ORIGINAL SIN 2 being a masterpiece, so picking this up in Early Access is not as much of a gamble as with other studios. It's got an open world rather than traveling on a map between locations (as in Pathfinder or the original BALDUR'S GATE games). The best part about BG 3 however is that it is NOT realtime with pause! It takes the best of DIVINITY ORIGINAL SIN 2's combat (like elevations, environments, ledges...) and allows for tactical combat that would no be possible in realtime. This is how these games should be made. Unfortunately some of the NPCs are rather weak and uninteresting. It is doubtful that this will be greatly altered however. Hopefully Larian will add some additional NPCs in later chapters. There are a lot of options how to tackle missions outside of combat. You can sneak into a camp instead of fighting through the front door and poison the majority of them. You can snipe them. You can intimidate them or JOIN them. So far, I'm loving it!

I own DOS and DOS2, and have never installed them yet, so I don't know if they are as good as they are said to be. But they will have to wait for... Ah! the old and remastered Baldur's gates, Icewind dales, NWN... those are the living legends of the genre which I have finished more times than I can count. So, I reluctantly installed BG3 in my bare minimum requirements PC and built my char. That was really good, I hope we get new classes but, so far, it has an excellent char builder. Then the cinematics intro, were really good, and when I started to play, I got stuck in the first!.. jump??? Wtf!! So I returned to my TWW2 campaign just to wonder what had happened. Will I have to learn a new UI, grind to jump, and do other excentricities totally avoidable? Who knows, I am sure I will, but hey hell it's BG3!! Just for the history and IP I have to put 5 stars here and trust Larian is up to my expectations, in the end, they managed to do make a new BG, and only doing so, already deserves my support. I have little time nowadays to game as due, and my computer is far from ideal, but I expect to go back to Faerun soon and enjoy the experience as I've always done. Now people, get the 5 stars and give us an incredible ride, we, you and they deserve it. It sucks that ea saves don't transfer to final version, but one can't get it all. Besides, seeing as Larian have always commited to the players and always been 'legal' with no dlcs 'cow milking' and giving first class treatment to their customers, I gratefully back this beloved release and am already looking forward to dip into it. I want to get Cyberpunk as well, but my i3-7100 falls short, yet it is a must to, cause honest developers who care for their players deserve our backing. I apologize for my poor review, I have really played a very little time, and it looked promising, despite it not being a lovely Infinity Engine game, take credit, It's BG3 and it's your good practises to player base, so go Larian!! Boo Boo!!

This game is about as far from a faithful D&D experience as you can get. Seems to have been made by a bunch of horny teenagers and is full of contemporary political extremism and related ideological concepts. Character creation and customisation has almost no depth, except when it comes to choosing your genitals, skin disease, or other ridiculous things to have included instead. Also seems to abandon standard 5th edition rules in favour of something else... too many rules anomalies to bother listing them, but it's unclear to me if the devs have changed things on their own whim or if it's aligning with the much hated OneD&D (or whatever label they're putting on that dumpster fire now) rules that are incoming soon. With hope, modders will fix. Sorely tempted to refund and wait it out, or simply walk away. Save your money on this one and check out Pathfinder: Kingmaker or Solasta as a more enjoyable RPG experience.

Maybe?.. it's argueable I dont get the negative reviews, altho those people probably think starfield is a 5 star game soo... with people also saying is not a baldurs gate game, it was never going to be like the orginials, its over a decade since those games so things have changed and so has the developer. Its by a studio who cares and loves what they do and listens to fans. no pay walls just a good old fashioned game. What more do you actually want?? buy it, love it, you wont regret it.
