Gather your party, and return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power.
Mysterious abilities are awakening inside you, drawn from a Mind Flayer parasite planted in your brain. Resist, and turn darkness against itself. Or embrace corruption, and become ultimate evil.
From the creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2 comes a next-generation RPG, set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons.
Choose from a wide selection of D&D races and classes, or play as an origin character with a hand-crafted background. Adventure, loot, battle and romance as you journey through the Forgotten Realms and beyond. Play alone, and select your companions carefully, or as a party of up to four in multiplayer.
Abducted, infected, lost. You are turning into a monster, but as the corruption inside you grows, so does your power. That power may help you to survive, but there will be a price to pay, and more than any ability, the bonds of trust that you build within your party could be your greatest strength. Caught in a conflict between devils, deities, and sinister otherworldly forces, you will determine the fate of the Forgotten Realms together.
Forged with the new Divinity 4.0 engine, Baldur’s Gate 3 gives you unprecedented freedom to explore, experiment, and interact with a world that reacts to your choices. A grand, cinematic narrative brings you closer to your characters than ever before, as you venture through our biggest world yet.
The Forgotten Realms are a vast, detailed and diverse world, and there are secrets to be discovered all around you -- verticality is a vital part of exploration. Sneak, dip, shove, climb, and jump as you journey from the depths of the Underdark to the glittering rooftops of the Upper City. How you survive, and the mark you leave on the world, is up to you.

allows you to pause the world around you at any time even outside of combat. Whether you see an opportunity for a tactical advantage before combat begins, want to pull off a heist with pin-point precision, or need to escape a fiendish trap. Split your party, prepare ambushes, sneak in the darkness -- create your own luck!
Don't worry about those bugs at all now, even though I only encountered it once. The style of the game is too similar to that of Original Sin 2. The arrangements of all the worlds are so delicate and seamless. However, this is rather stingy. Original Sin 2 does that, which is its style. Baldur's Gate is a grand game, and this style makes it less grandiose. It's like a very beautiful dress, draped on other people, with a little dissonance. Maybe this is Larian's style. Just a little bit of my opinion, I hope the game gets better and better. I love Original Sin 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 very much. I have 492.5 hours of Original Sin 2 play time, but it is on Steam.
Baldur's Gate III was developed by Larian, and their signature is all over it. The game feels like a mixed bag of Baldur's Gate and Divinity: Original Sin. I personally am really enjoying the game so far. The game being early access does need quite a bit of work, but I feel what is there so far is great.
The camera system needs to change. No question about it. In a 3D space, you need the ability to tilt the camera up and down to change viewing angles. This is critical for navigating tight 3d terrain that have lots of objects that will obscure the cameras line of sight! This is not optional. For a next-gen RPG, the current system is clunky and barely serviceable.
The visuals are great, but need polishing. For example, rotating the camera to bring an object in the foreground between the camera and the characters in most cases results in a majorly pixelated hot mess of garbage, even though my graphic setting are set on ultra across the board. Some dialogue character animations are janky and jerky. Locking my frame rate to 60fps didn't seem to help it all. Occasionally characters will be speaking, hands waving, head tilting, and no mouth movement. It's...unnatural.
The audio in Baldur's Gate III is fantastic. The soundtrack is orchestral, with occasional choir vocals. It is fitting and adds a great deal to the atmosphere and environment, keeping the player engaged in the moment. I would really like to see the OST released as an extra for the final release or even DLC if priced within reason (given the base game is already $60 USD). In-game sound effects are good too as well as the voice acting...top notch!
Overall, I would highly recommend the purchase. I understand early access will turn some people off. That's fine. Just keep in mind the game will continue to improve, and I trust Larian Studios will treat this entry in the series with the respect it deserves! Buy it!
This is an absolute masterclass. Designed by quite possibly the most passionate and community sensitive development team I have seen for a long long time.
Larian have segmented their legacy as one of the greatest and most trustworthy developers of the modern day era. They are more like passionate gamers that know how to code.
They listen, communicate and embrace their community in ways I wish other development studios would do. Sadly the corporate machine has crashed through the gaming landscape in recent times driving the soul and gamer driven ethos to near extinction in favour of corporate greed and lining the purse strings of the already wealthy.
To me the most important thing Larian have achieved here is not just making an absolutely phenomenal game, but they have restored my faith that maybe the future landscape of gaming is not completely lost. Even if you don't like CRPG's, get behind this group of amazing developers, lead by an amazing leadership team. Show other companies that is ok to make games that don't try to squeeze every single drip of blood from the community in favour of making games driven by passion.
Made by gamers for gamers. The way it should be.

Don't miss it!
Bought the game because I thought GOG's would e cheaper and easier to use than Steam's, big mistake.
If you're reading before buying, the game doesnt install correctly, it gets stuck at 92% and you need to look for work-arounds in the forums to get it unstuck, but thats not the only problem.
Not only did the game didnt correctly install, but the update is also permanently stuck at 91.3%, the launcher also reports corrupted data, before you respond about renaming "Game.pak.download" or something about !Temp folder, I already did that, and frankly I shouldnt need to do it several days after the game launched, hell I shouldnt need to be looking up for workarounds at all, GOGs premise is precisely that you dont need to do stuff like that in the first place.
Its been DAYS since this, one of the biggest game launches of the year came out, a game thats being praised for not having any of the usual b*lls*t companies usually makes us go though and GOG still hasnt managed to get it into a functional state,
Its ridiculous that Galaxy is still having these issues so late into the game, more so that they are still showing several days after the game launched, CDProject should be ashamed at the state of its platform.
