Gather your party, and return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power.
Mysterious abilities are awakening inside you, drawn from a Mind Flayer parasite planted in your brain. Resist, and turn darkness against itself. Or embrace corruption, and become ultimate evil.
From the creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2 comes a next-generation RPG, set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons.
Choose from a wide selection of D&D races and classes, or play as an origin character with a hand-crafted background. Adventure, loot, battle and romance as you journey through the Forgotten Realms and beyond. Play alone, and select your companions carefully, or as a party of up to four in multiplayer.
Abducted, infected, lost. You are turning into a monster, but as the corruption inside you grows, so does your power. That power may help you to survive, but there will be a price to pay, and more than any ability, the bonds of trust that you build within your party could be your greatest strength. Caught in a conflict between devils, deities, and sinister otherworldly forces, you will determine the fate of the Forgotten Realms together.
Forged with the new Divinity 4.0 engine, Baldur’s Gate 3 gives you unprecedented freedom to explore, experiment, and interact with a world that reacts to your choices. A grand, cinematic narrative brings you closer to your characters than ever before, as you venture through our biggest world yet.
The Forgotten Realms are a vast, detailed and diverse world, and there are secrets to be discovered all around you -- verticality is a vital part of exploration. Sneak, dip, shove, climb, and jump as you journey from the depths of the Underdark to the glittering rooftops of the Upper City. How you survive, and the mark you leave on the world, is up to you.

As you can see in my user name I like Skyrim a lot. I've been playing Skyrim for thousands of hours and modded it to perfetion with currently 1169 mods installed. My Skyrim folders takes around 500 GB total space even after I deleted the archives.
Baldur's Gate 3 is better than my modded Skyrim by a mile, it's not even close. All the functions I added are in BG3 vanilla. The dice roll mechanics, characters that complement the group, the voice acting, the immersive exploration, absolutely everything is so crazy good I can't even believe this game is real.
The replay value is throught the roof, the size of the game insane and it's challenging in a way that's not just about upgrading your sword or spell, it actually requires thinking and tactics.
I'm totally speechless. Even after a measly 4 hours of play I'm totally convinced that this game will be the only fantasy RPG I will play in 2024.
It's a no brainer, just buy this game!
Ignore the bad pricing reviews. They dont have a clue. I would have paid considerably more even for the current build.
Its wonderful, and yes there are bugs but thats why we are all here. Find em and squish em. Make Boo proud.
Anyway, I can already tell that Larian has outdone themselves with this creation. It is, quite frankly, wonderous.
Jump in, embrace the adventure.

OK, this is first and probably ONLY game I bought (will ever buy) as early access (ea).
So being in Ea i was prepared for a lot of crashes and bugs. I was pleasantly surprised in the level of polish. Sure, content is missing (classes/some quests) but that was expected from the get go.
Larian Studios is one of the studios that seems to deliver what they say, so that's one of the reasons i bought Ea on day 1. I haven't played Divinity games so to me the engine is new and doesn't bother me as some players. All in all I would recommend to anyone BG3, atm it's just act one, with patches coming regularly.
I did experience a few crashes in combat situations, and game seems to hate you saving in mid combat, and some game mechanics didn't transfer well from DnD 5E (eg. ranger Colossus Slayer feature doesn't calculate properly but it is not game breaking) that I am sure will be polished in final build. But I think that's what Ea is for, to find those things.
I am giving it 4/5 purely because it is not yet a full game so I can't speak for the rest of the content that will come out, or I haven't seen yet.
Also because of some aforementioned mechanic that didn't transfer well, but so far I had a very positive experience.
My bf and I both got this game today and no matter what it wont install more than 92% [or download depending on the screen] and there are a ton of others with this issue and no resolution that works. Waste of a day and money. Go try steam or somewhere it actually downloads or installs.
Since picking this up, I've been trying to figure out if I've ever played a better RPG. It's possible I have. It's not very likely, though. Torment (both of them) and KOTOR (both of them) come to mind.
