Baldur’s Gate 3 is something special, though. Its complexity is intimidating, but sticking with it and learning has such a high reward threshold that it's hard to not recommend the sequel to even the most casual gamers out there. It has heart, it has style, and it has the multi-year effort of a studio that obviously loves its source material. The mind-blowing size of the game itself and everything contained within is a testament to Larian Studios' dedication to its craft and commitment to bringing something incredible to the gaming public. The blend of the various Dungeon & Dragons systems into the game is almost flawless in its execution, and the math and storytelling combo does a one-two punch on almost every other RPG game out there. High quality and astoundingly fun, Baldur’s Gate 3 may just become the kind of game that old and new fans can agree is something extraordinary.

Great game but lacks linux support
Great game, the start is very polished but it is noticeable that they ran out of time since there are a few plotholes and bugs in the lategame. -1 for no linux support

A must play game
Baldur's Gate 3 is an awesome game. The story is extremely engaging with multiple decisions to make which affect the progression and many different ways to solve the problems and challenges the game presents you. Larian Studios nailed it with this one. Just get it and you will not regret the $60.

Decent start.
Only managed to find a couple of hours to play about with BG3 so far, only a couple of gameplay gripes I've come across so far that I'll let Larian know about, as in-house testing won't give the same results due to over-familiarity from the devs when working with their own creation from the ground up. This is the point, all of bona fide owners have been made well aware for quite some time that this is the case. We've booked in early for the finished product and helping the devs as, as a stitch in time saves nine. I might submit my gripes and not touch the game for a couple of months. Don't believe these absurd 1 star reviews, as the game is so far very enjoyable, and not as unpolished as they'd have you believe. In fact, they've sort of forced my hand in writing my first review in reaction to them. As the game is only early access, again, I cannot stress enough that this has been made clear for months that the first commercial release would be to an early access build, I can only grant it 4 stars. I wanted to write something critical instead of addressing the absurd issues people have with a commercially available early access game, when BG3 has been touted "on release" as nothing more than early access from its announcement. Did you know that Baldur's Gate 3 is in early access, and that commercial copies were advertised as such as per announcements ages ago?
