Gather your party, and return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power.
Mysterious abilities are awakening inside you, drawn from a Mind Flayer parasite planted in your brain. Resist, and turn darkness against itself. Or embrace corruption, and become ultimate evil.
From the creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2 comes a next-generation RPG, set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons.

I picked up Baldur's Gate 3 early access from GOG based on their 30 day return policy a week prior to the game being released. I thought that it was a great game and it is. However, the installation issue with the game freezing at 98% started to leave a bad user experience. After miraculously waiting 2 days for installation to finish, the game installted, I can honestly say that the game is fun.
After less than 2 weeks of playing the game, the GOG version of the game started to crash unexpectatly and after one too many crashes, the game refused to even launch. I uninstalled the game and tried to reinstall it with the same installation issue that I mentioned above. At this poin, I requested a refund for this game and purchased the game via Steam. The Steam installation took less than 20 minutes and I have not had a single issue.
To add injury to insult, the GOG team responded to me by informing me that they were not going to refund me for the game since I had played 98 hours. I guess that the 30 day refund policy is only good on paper and they reserve the right to refuse refunds. I guess that they did not take into account that to date, the GOG version of the game has installation issue. Coupled with random crashes and freezes of the GOG version of Baldur's Gate 3, I am out $80 CAD.
If you are thinking of purchasing this game via GOG, I would suggest looking at other options for the game purchase.
Lack of resources? Lies. Lack of passion? Yes. Profit over quality? Yes. The gaming industry is focused more on making money, than making the best product. Larian's accomplishment isn't an anomaly, it's what should be expected...
it is a wonky early access game that currently crashes every 10-15 minutes. What is expected from an early access. Is it worth the money? 60 Bucks for a game that crashes and were you have to play testers? No, not at its current state. Perhaps it will get better.
Anyway it is a shame that it is called Baldur's Gate because it has nothing to do with its predecessors apart from the name. The majority of the people reviewing here are just hiped by the name of the game despite it is wonky and buggy.
With almost 600+ hours this is an incredible game, so inmersive, and the best of all is BG3 respect the rules of D&D edition 5, you need to know that your choices can affect directly with the end that you get.
Every run feels so different so i don't get bored at all that's why I get so many hours played this amazing game.
