Astrox Imperium is my attempt to create the space game that I wanted to play, but no one had created. I wanted a single player, open-world space game that is similar to games I enjoyed, like Homeworld and EVE, with economies, factions, and a story. A game where I could set all the parameters, and the universe would come alive with new challenges each time I played. I tried to take the best of what I liked from many of my favorite space games, and combine them into something simple but deep, familiar yet fresh, and enjoyably addicting to play.
The human struggle to survive is an all too familiar one. As the planet collapsed into an ecological depression, mankind as a whole is forced to expand his vision to the skies. A grand ship was built, and the ‘Imperium’ was scheduled to launch mankind into the future. With a new Quantum technology at its core, the Imperium was mankind’s greatest achievement. Putting aside all differences, the people of world came together. Under a common goal, the efforts of an entire generation came to fruition. The Imperium was ready to carry the dreams of us all, and with it, the hopes of finding a second chance.
The main game play loops are fairly simple, and familiar. What makes Astrox Imperium unique, is the way that you can easily glide between the various loops to maintain a nice level of progression, without it feeling any more ‘grindy’ than you want it to. Sure, you can just mine rocks if you want, but Astrox Imperium provides you many different ways to progress your pilot.
Many of the classic mechanics from the space game genre have been incorporated into Astrox Imperium. Basic interface controls were designed using elements from some RTS and FPS games. All the fan favorites and core game play elements have been included; mining, crafting, trading, refining, fleets, combat, exploration, survival, and more. This game will seem familiar to fans of the space survival / exploration game genre. Here is a list of features that are currently in the game. Atrox - polished mix of mining and comba
Atrox Imperium is a polished mix of ship mining and combat competing with the X series, No Mans Sky, Elite Dangerous, Space Engineers, and others. Lighter than the others with enough uniqueness for a relaxing play session.

Brilliant game, very chill. Reminiscent of EVE online, only without constantly needing to watch out for other players jumping you. I'm genuinely amazed how one developer has been able to pull this off. An absolute gem, especially for the price

Good EVE Vibes
Im so proud that the dev hasnt given up on this great game. it gives me EVE Online vibes and you can even play sandbox and mine till you get a big dreadnought that hauls ore for processing. its great. Any EVE Online player that has left will get a nostalgia feeling with this game.

Love the game, wish I could play it
For what little I was able to play this game, I love it because is was the "Eve Offline" game I was wishing and looking for, for over a decade. Unfortunately, within 20 minutes to an hour, the game forces my monitor into "sleep" mode and there's no way to wake it up. No mouse activation, keyboard, or even Monitor controls can wake it up. So I have to hard reboot the computer (via power button) just to get my computer back. No settings on my comp are set to activate any kind of screen saver, power savings, or sleep mode of any kind. All that is set to "off" cuz I have a desktop gaming PC which has no need for any type of monitor or power savings. Except for that glitch, which is a HUGE glitch, I think I would SO love this game. What a shame to wait so long, and to come so near, but yet miss by a mile. I gave it 3 stars for its potential. I'd have given it 5 stars if I could actually play it.

Amazing
I rarely leave reviews but all I can honestly say is two things. It's very well developed and you can absolutely tell that the developer really cares immensely about this game. It is most certainly EVE Offline as people call it and that's the draw for me. I tried EVE and it was a little much for me but this game is more approachable as it's single player and you can just take your time and learn without anyone bothering you much. It's very in depth in it's current state and I can say honestly, it's one of the best space games I've played. Did i mention the developer cares? That's icing on the cake. A lot of these early access titles go so far and wind up being abandoned. This game I can pretty much guarantee that that will not happen. You can tell that it's well developed and the creator really truly loves his own game and wants to make this one hell of an experience for everyone who plays and so far he's totally killing it and meeting his goal. I love this game and I recommend anyone who reads this review to just buy it. Don't feud with yourself, don't wait, don't make excuses... This really is one you shouldn't pass up and this developer deserves our support. I cannot stress enough how obvious it is that he cares, immensely. Thanks for the wonderful game Jace, please don't quit. This is amazing and better than most titles the AAA companies put out.
