Advent Rising

I played this game on the XBOX a long time ago and simply loved it. Its really a shame they never got around to making the sequels. Gamers are fickle and tend to not try "new" titles from people they have never heard of, which is the only explanation I can come up with for the poor sales. And the poor sales of course lead the developers to cancel plans for the sequels... shameful...

I actually heard about this ahead of time from game mag and got it for original xbox. Yes it is very flawed, offroad car has rocket boosters? Clipped thru floor lot of times, but its cheap here so have at it! Also there was sequel made (trilogy) for psp, i think, or the earlier gameboy system called advent shadow, in case anyone wants to find the sequel.

i remember this game like it was yesterday. it unfortunate that is suffered from the bugs that it did. i see more games now a days with less production value that this (anything EA). i ireally wish they made 2 and 3 the story is awesome.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing game, though a bit buggy. I had maybe 5 crashes throughout the game, and the cut scenes didn't look nearly as good as they do on the Xbox version, but maybe that's just something goofy with my PC. The gameplay is great once you get past the first few levels. The story is fantastic; Orson Scott Card helped write the screenplay. The worst thing about this game is that they never got to finish the trilogy.

I half heartedly picked this one up for the xbox years ago. Killer story, fast paced action, awesome powers. I have rarely lamented the poor marketing of a game as much as I have for this title. Even when I bought it I had no idea what it was about! Ah well, there's always the memories....
