Story:Flying Heroes is an arena based shooter game that takes place on various flying creatures. There are four clans to choose from, with varying creatures or machines for players. The four clans are: Sky Knights, Lizard Riders, Hammercraft, and Magion. Each clan offers different options, such as different amounts of health, different weapons and different flying crafts. There is also a multiplayer mode. In the beginning, or in the demo, only Lizard Riders and Magion are available choices; Sky Knights and Hammercraft become available when the career mode is beaten.Show more
This was my very first PC game. It holds immense memories for me. It's known for having brutal difficulty scaling. My cousin and I used to spend hours on this game back in the day. It has 4 different classes each with unique 'creatures'. There's also a campaign with a very... interesting ending. I would give anything to be able to play this again!
This game was super atmospheric. Action packed fantasy aerial combat with different fighting tactics and styles based on 4 different factions. It is a unique gem and deserves AT LEAST a digital download version if not a remaster. Please make it happen, bring it back to life!
I remember spending hours on this game, trying to beat it. Never managed to, as I was always distracted trying out new flying creatures. I used to make a match with no time limit where I was the only player, just to enjoy the feeling flying around the maps. My copy of the game had a bug where it occasionally crashed, would be amazing to play this game on GOG.
Liked this game a lot. Still since today I can't remeber a game like this which had so much air combad fun in this unique way. You can choose between 4 guilds. they all have different mounts: Dragons, Birds, Magical aircrafts, Zeppelins. All have there differend advantages and disadvantages, different weapons and so on. You can Upgrade your mounts and weapons (there are 6 different weapons and they are all differnt depending from which guild you are in, so the playstyle is further different). Your goal in the main story is to be the best in a league. But you can also play it in multiplayer (but not with story mode). This game is very unique and so much fun.
It would be cool to play this game again on newer systems. But I think GOG will not bring it back in the near future (sadly), because not a lot of people vote for it...
Who still wants to play it and has the CD from back then: Download VM Workstation Player and install it. Download Windows XP with Service Pack 3 from archive.org. Install the Windows XP VM with these Settings:
-8192 GB RAM (I think it will work with less but I did it with that and it worked)
-8 Processor cores (I think it will work with less but I did it with that and it worked)
-3d graphics -> Check on "Accelerate 3d graphics"
-Graphics memory 2GB (I think it will work with less but I did it with that and it worked)
Then Mount the CD or make a ISO of the CD and mount that into the VM. Install the Game. Then you can play it again BUT:
Be aware that when you start the game the Window will be very small, so you must scale down your screen scale of your real computer (in my case to: 800x600)
Geiles Spiel. Habe sehr viel Zeit mit den Spiel genossen. Die ganze Missionen. Fast vergleichbar mit Unreal Tournament. Schade das ich das Spiel nicht mehr habe und vermute das Moderne Windows-Betriebssystem laufe.

I remember wanting to speedrun the campaign with the Dragon, but i didn't want to grind for upgrades so i took a loan, it worked like a charm so i figured "Hey why not take another loan" and i think you can see where this is going... The rent went up so much that it was eventually impossible to pay back the loan even if i won first place in every match, that didn't stop my creditor from demanding that i pay him back every round, i started to lose more and more matches due to stress, and i couldn't buy any new upgrades because of that and the game just kept on getting harder, which only made me freak out even more, eventually my creditor came and took all my upgrades, leaving me with the worst dragon at the hardest part of the game, and i have never taken a loan in my life ever since then. xD
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival.
Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed.
The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo.
As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity.
Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control.
