Best one

Best one in the entire series. Brings back so many wonderful memories. This game is perfection. The story, the mood, the atmosphere and the music. Strongly recommend this game for anyone who loves a good action game

Not for diehard fans, but a good game

The good: vastly improved combat system, a few well hidden special weapons, better and more challenging platforming, two different end bosses (and endings!), environment split into past (intact fortress) / present (ruins) which are different in just the right amount to have a unique feel for both. The bad: The story itself is on par with previous titles; it is the execution that's flawed. Overly sexualized female characters and crude, nearly vulgar lines will ruin the atmosphere for diehard fans. The platforming can be difficult to the point of frustration (e.g. the life extension upgrades, which are needed for the alternative ending). Occasionally lacks polish (e.g. "lore" text for the water sword, lol). A few bugs, not critical but definitely noticeable and annoying, which were never patched. Overall: An attempt to court a certain demographic gone bad, a rushed release and little after-release support probably speak to some internal anguish at Ubisoft over the direction (and sales) of the franchise. Still, I focus more on the negatives because of my disappointment - this game could have been great and it felt merely... passable to good. The successor, Two Thrones, managed to combine the better elements of WW and SoT, and generally regained fans' trust. TLDR: Get when on sale.

Fun game, but not a great port.

Game is fun, but unfortunatly the port is pretty poor and obviously hadsn't aged well. The game plays best with a controller, but the mapping for the controls is really weird and the default controls are really bad (blocking by default is the start button on an Xbox controller for example). The game itself hits that mid 2000 "edgy" coolness that games were going for back then and it's so cringe inducing to look back on, but I love it. A lot of people didn't like the game on release because of that, so if you like a more light hearted fantasy setting for games you might not like this. Honestly if you can, I'd probably recommend getting it on console if you can to avoid the control weirdness.

Warrior Within

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within is pretty solid. While Sands of Time had a more fantastical, fairy-tale-like atmosphere, this one has a much darker and somber feel to it. In this Prince of Persia game, more emphasis is placed on combat, although there is still plenty of platforming and puzzle solving here. Personally, I feel that the combat here is not all that compelling. It's pretty interesting early in the game, but after a while it get's sort of old and repetitive. The combat fails to stay interesting throughout the game, which is a big issue because so much emphasis is placed on that in this PoP game. The platforming/puzzle solving aspects of this game remain as solid as they were in Sands of Time, however. One of the best parts of this game is the environment in which the game takes place; the prince is being pursued by a demon (the Dahaka) for meddling with the sands of time, and must travel to an island (which I forget the name of) in order to set things right. The island makes for a very interesting environment in that the player gets to traverse through it in both the past and present, and both time periods offer unique and interesting versions of the island. In the game, there are also moments where the Dahaka will appear, and chase down the prince. The Dahaka is an indestructible demon, and will not stop until it's purpose (which is to kill the prince) has been fulfilled, so when this beast does appear the prince has to flee from it. These moments in the game make for some very adrenaline packed chase scenes, and while they can be a bit frustrating they are still a lot of fun. All in all, this is a good game. While personally I feel that the first one is the best of the series, this one is probably my second favorite. If you enjoy platformers or action/adventure games and you liked the first Prince of Persia game, definitely check this one out.

Best Combat system ever!

The game is realy good and has hands down the best combat system in any game ever. I dont understand why Ubisoft abandoned it after this game. The tone is more mature and different from the other 2 games in the trilogy but I liked it more than the fairy tale style of the other two. The sound is not in sync in most cutscenes and game seems to run in slow motion sometimes but this can be fixed by turning on/off v-sync. But it also sometimes breaks the game and you have to change it to be able to progress(falling for no reason, platform out of reach even if it should be). I recomand this game
