Wow talk about a lot of homophobes and close minded people, the OP only mentioned that he was dissapointed that there was no homosexuality in the witcher 2, and everyone flying off the handle saying they wouldn't buy the game if geralt was gay, and the fact that geralt is straight in the novels, its not like even if they did have the ability for geralt to sleep with a guy in the game that it would automatically make him gay, it would just give an npc a dialogue option to enable it to happen, its not like that makes geralt gay, straight guys could juts turn down the request, its a rpg you can choose not to be gay if there were an option, and as far as him being straight in the books, well people change, and also geralt has amnesia being a rpg it should be up to the person playing, its not like it would effect the game 1 bit if it were included, for straight people you could still play the game the same way and for gay people they could just answer yes to an npc's dialogue instead of no.

I can understand why its not in the game, it would take a lot of work to implement and it does go against the womanizing aspect they are going for, but that being said, there would be nothing wrong with it being in the game and it wouldn't change gameplay, its not like just because theres an option to be gay in a game that you have too.

In Witcher 1&2 you are playing as Geralt of Rivia, not some created by a player character that can be anyone and anything. Geralt does not kill innocent people, so you cannot. Geralt does not fly like Superman, so you cannot. Geralt does not sleep with men, so you cannot.

Sorry to jump into this topic so late, but this isn't entirely correct. I mean, yes, it wasn't approved of, but the same is true of murder, theft, adultery, etc. Yet those get plenty of attention in the game. The Witcher is not a game that sticks to what people approve of. Quite to the contrary.
