I agree I never understood that. When I played the game with male hawke all the females were the same so why is the opposite different. If ppl are afraid of a guy on a video game I really do not know what to say.

I really wish someone had the balls to make a game where you play a homosexual main character... and the majority of the NPCs start hating you for it as soon as you say you're one. That might make some good drama.

Instead we have games where there is either no homosexuality whatsoever or there is homosexuality and every last person in the game is OK with it (I'm looking at you, Dragon Age). This last option seems much more hypocritical than having no gays in the game at all.

I mean art is supposed to reflect our society, no? And homophobia is a problem in the society the same way as racism is. Witcher for example does feature racism and you as a character are able to pick sides in it. This really makes you think about the real world for a bit.

However OP apparently was just lamenting the lack of a gay sex scene in the game. And I don't see how this would improve the game in any way.
