Free Mars, or die trying!

Red Faction, a critically acclaimed and extremely revolutionary *wink* first-person shooter with destructible terrain and a close-range hard Sci-Fi setting, is available 70% off on GOG.com, as a part of our Red Faction 1+2 Bundle deal. That's only $2.99 for the first 72 hours!

You are Parker, a weary miner who works for the corrupt Ultor Corporation. You reside on Mars, sometime in the future, and when a plague spreads through the mining community, some of the Ultor employees uncover a massive conspiracy. Thus ensues a battle by a group of lowly workers, provoked to uprise by your own actions and to expose the deadly experiments Ultor has unleashed onto its work force. History will judge you. Make sure your faction wins, so its your people who get to write the history books.

Red Faction was a very big leap forward in the FPS genre. It introduced many new technical features such as location-based damage system, real-time skeletal deformation, advanced physics simulation, destructible environment and more. The unprecedented (at the time) interaction with the environment creates a very strong feeling of immersion that is very impressive even by today's standards. With an engaging story to tell, a unique set of features such as location-based damage system, real-time skeletal deformation, operational land, sea, and air vehicles, advanced physics simulation, and destructible environment, it's safe to say the game well deserved all the critical acclaim it got.

Play your part in the history of Mars in Red Faction, for only $2.99 on GOG.com. The special 70% off release bundle offer lasts only until Friday, February 14, at 10:59AM GMT. The games are also available separately, 60% off.

xxxIndyxxx: RF4 (can't remember the title at this moment). IMO the most fun but it's a very lineair 3rd person shooter that has little or nothing to do with the first 3.
Armageddon .

another game freed from the clutches of Steam

Well done Nordic! Can we please get Darksiders here now? :)
I remember this game. Although the terrain destruction and vehicles were really nice, the actual single-player campaign became extraordinarily boring and repetitive towards the end, they just padded the game with wave after wave of pointless battle with the mercenaries. Also really stupid stuff like the evil scientist with the force-field, the alien-like creatures, etc.

Still funny that after decade this game have better destruction system compared to overhyped Frostbyte that's inferior compared to Bad Company 2.

SCPM: YES! So this means we've got a version of Red Faction that actually runs well on modern machines? Goodbye, disc copy!
Did I hear the Steam version had those kind of issues?
Kind of makes me wonder if Nordic are going be cheeky enough to get GOG to do the compatibility work then update the Steam version with the fixes!

Wow - SiN, STALKER and now these 2 - GOG really are filling in some important blanks in its FPS catalogue recently!
The first game is a great classic by the creators of Descent games (..I'm right?), and I'm really glad it is available on GOG after what happened to THQ. Thanks, Nordic!

The second game, however, is horrid, IMO. ..buuut the price for both is great.

Enjoy the first 2 parts of the Red Faction series here on GOG.com :)
Greetings from the Nordic Games office.
Aww damn, I knew I shouldn't have bought these from Steam... I recall there even may be some compatibility problems with the Steam versions, maybe they are fixed here. I'll get these from GOG for sure. Dang, the same happened with the STALKER games.

What's next, the Comanche and Delta Force games (not to mention Tachyon)? Oh well, keep them coming.
