Nah it was GOG who was trolling me by closing the reply window just about every second while I was typing.

Surely you'd have to reopen the window and start the post from scratch..? I can't work out how you could carry on typing with the window closed. =S

So I've decided to cobble together this, and it's actually rather surprising:

3. QuadrAlien - last post 4 days ago after 6 days of absence
4. Xzyem - last seen more than a month ago
5. Rodzaju - active, but posts little of substance
7. TwilightBard - active
8. Detlik - last post 2 days ago after 5 days of absence
9. stoicsentry - active
10. Robbeasy - rose from the dead
11. GoJays2025 - last seen on 23 April
12. Red_Baron - active even when drunk :)
13. NotFrenchYet - active
15. Jefequeso - active, but also not very constructive
16. bazilisek - active, handsome and lovable

So basically, now that Rob is back the only persons actually missing are xzyem and GoJays. Then there are the two extremely quiet ones (QuadrAlien and Detlik) and the rest who stand around staring at their feet without any good excuse.

So if you want to policy lynch, Xzyem is clearly the man, but I don't really think we need to do that. I'd personally do a regular lynch and ask Damnation to modkill xzyem or better still, replace him with the lynchee. Confusing, but a means to salvage the game without writing off yet another day in which we have not learned anything at all.

(There's obviously a lot of hypothetical situations where the modkill of xzyem or his replacement by the lynchee could deeply imbalance the game, so it is of course Damnation who should be making that call.)

I think using the lynchee to replace xzyem could work, as long as xzyem has all of the information the lynchee had. We can't have dead mafia replacing into town obviously, but there might be more subtle problems depending on how complex this game is.

Neither can I, it was a fairly odd experience - basically the window closed while I was writing and when I re-opened reply the text was visible for the brief second it was there. Hence I decided to go ahead and just write blindfolded pressing post when I figured I was done.

I don't get it? You want us to do a normal lynch, but then when the lynch takes place xzyem is the one who is lynched no matter who we decided on? Eh?

No. We lynch player "Joe" who's playing "Geoffrey, the Town Vanilla Baker". When he's dead, player xzyem, with an unknown role, is replaced by player "Joe" who takes up said unknown role.

If we're lucky enough to lynch one of the mafia and xzyem is town then this plan won't work. But at that point, who cares? We got one of the mafia!

Precisely. And in that case, modkilling xzyem after the lynch would not be terribly unfair, either.

That sounds feasible to me... Problem if xzyem is also mafia and modkilled even if we lynch a mafia, but.. it's a lot better than anything I've heard/thought of so far.

hmmm - we definitely need to find ways to salvage the game, to be honest.

The usual things don't appear to work in this game - i come back from the dead, announce out the blue your Mafia are NFY and Stoic - and hardly one comment. No-one asks why, no-one defends themselves, no-one even blinks hardly.

THAT, in a nutshell, is why this game is going down the tubes.....

Oh, Rob, have I ever not taken you seriously? The thing is, I'm already voting for NFY who I very much believe to be scum. I'm just waiting for everyone else to catch up with me :)

Other than NFY and Stoic, we don't have even the faintest beginnings of a case anywhere. And I'm getting a wee bit tired of repeating "either start a wagon or back one" over and over again.
