Emob78: So is there some sort of mathematical formula for evaluating the amount of flowers and chocolates with game releases?
Feelings, not mathematics.
...We should panic?

How so? Do we want fewer DRM-free games rather than more? Do we not want big publishers to see reason in releasing DRM-free copies of their games?

I suspect the recent Ubisoft releases were more to do with CD Projekt RED allow Uplay to sell The Witcher 3 Expansion Pass on discount (before it was even discounted at GOG). EA hasn't release a game on GOG for ages.

I was just replying to the title.

Utuzuu: The guys at Ubisoft/EA are just people afterall
Ha, could've fooled me with that if I didn't know otherwise. :P
Bend over and kiss our asses. Ubisoft has indeed released a couple of newer games here and i'm very glad for that, however we haven't seen anything in the last couple of years from EA. I would for example love to see NFS Porsche here, though probably the license expired for that.. or at least the newer Bioware games. One can dream....
Are you nuts? Chocolate is expensive.

I'll wait for a sale.

it seemed like EA was cool for a while there, but I guess not.
The best way to show your support is to put your money where your mouth is and buy the game. Maybe send them an email with a thank you for releasing the game, but money is what talks.

Utuzuu: ... What do you guys and gals think? ...
Buying their games like crazy may even be better because otherwise they will die from too much chocolate.

GR00T: Probably be more meaningful to them if we buy the games when they're released here...
Which will hopefully translate into more, and more frequent, releases from them here.

On a side note - I wonder if part of the hiatus is that they can't come to an agreement with GOG.

True but some people already own all the EA games here! (Not me admittedly) :-P

If there were true, I wish CDPR had done the same thing with EA and selling Witcher 3 on Origin.

Here's a question that some knowledgeable person might answer: how long do distribution contracts like these usually last? 5 years? I'm just curious if 2016 is the year EA finally pulls out of here, since they appeared here in 2011 (correct?), but then again you'd think Activision would have pulled out by now.

I don't know but I can imagine they could even run indefenitely but with a cancelation period, or they can be canceled regularly (every year or so) with an automatic prolongation if not canceled.

Why do you think Activision might have pulled out by now?
Jump around the room naked, masturbating furiously?
