I don't know. That hockey team in Montreal is fucking awesome this year.

andysheets1975: Fat?
The way things are going that's not going to be an exclusive for long. Obesity is on the rise everywhere, even if the US has been the poster boy for unhealthy diets for a long time.

I dont know, if all Americans suddenly became Canadian, Canada would finally have something to genuinely apologize for... :-P

Maybe if Quebec finally gained independence, then the USA would see no reason why not to finally invade Canada, drop the republic and declare itself an empire. But I doubt they would apologize at all >_<

tinyE: And that isn't a joke; god knows I wish is were. :P
I haven't seen my nephew in 10 years because his mother in California doesn't feel safe taking him out of state.
Why doesn't she feel safe taking him out of state? I wouldn't feel safe going TO california for many reasons. I don't even eat food from california because of radiation from fukushima on top of their irrigation system and how horrible it is. C'mon giant earthquakes, take it away!

blotunga: Depends who you ask, in Mexico they are called gringo, in other places yankee :)

That's how they see the world. It is very twisted and very sad.
To her going to Michigan would be like you or I going to Beirut. We actually had guest at our inn who were from CA and they covered the beds over with their own blankets because they were afraid they might 'get' something from ours, and don't get me started on all the people who refuse to drink the water.

Beg to differ. Gringo is not a peyorative in origin since it means "green go" since the soldiers that invaded Mexico for territorial annexation wore green. Si gringo is more than a sustantive, it is more like a verb since it implies a desired action.

I don't like a lot of the chemicals used to wash blankets/sheets (and have severe reactions to fabric softeners), so I could understand someone doing that. I also am VERY WARY of drinking water from places, and will not drink any from any municipality. If I go on a trip I take two 5-gallon jugs of my own water. Fracking, fluoride, chlorine, and a million other particulate JUNK in the water all over the country because of how dirty people in the US are make the water questionable if you don't *know* where it is coming from and what has been done to it.
