Pathduck: I'd go with USAian - it's Official! :)
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/USAian
Naturally, pronounced like an inhabitant of that one place in Ace Combat.

That being Ooh-see-un.
Muricans. Feel free to substitute an e for u.

chadjenofsky: These days, people living in the United States are called: African Americans, Latin Americans, Asian Americans, American Indians, Italian Americans, and American Americans! =P
"There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism."
- Teddy Roosevelt
I for one prefer the term "Dumbo's" thank you very much. Only problem is Disney would be even richer if we did that.
The problem here stems from the original concept behind what would become the United States of America.

The US was originally a collection of nation-states. After first forming, each state even had its own currency.

Think about it: the name says it all. The UNITED STATES. Many countries around the world are referred to as a "state" and there's even a presidential cabinet position called the Secretary of State. Each state within the US is called a "state" because the idea was for each state to be its own country.

In many ways, the US (starting after the American Revolution and up until the American Civil War) was more like the European Union in design.

InfraSuperman: According to Wikipedia, it's "black and white cookie".
Now I know why one of it's presidents identified himself in a famous speech as a certain kind of cake called Berliner:

huN73R: Immigrants would apply to almost all of them, except the natives everyone is an immigrant over there.
Well, actually, even Native Americans are immigrants from Asia, only tens of thousands or years earlier than the rest. If you go back far enough, every single human on every continent is an immigrant but for Africa.

Like I said before, countries didn't exist then so they are not immigrants. Immigration is not the same as settling around the world during initial stages of civilization. Purpose might be the same, going to new areas for better prospects, resources and what not but terminology is quite different.

I only read your previous post after my last post, I was a day behind with reading this topic, but Wiktionary says your right: immigrating is migrating into a country. So the prehistoric movements of people (tribes, rather) I was referring to should be denominated migration, thus they were migrants.

Crewdroog: Actually, we prefer to be addressed as, "masters if the universe".

You're welcome. :)
But He-Man was from Sweden...
United Statists, of course!

Crewdroog: "masters if the universe"
That's... very philosophical! ;P

DubConqueror: 'Staters'?
No. Liberators.
They try hard to liberate every single person on planet Earth (even if he doesn't want to be liberated) for fun and profit.
