Get Freespace 1+2, Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Descent series, Redneck Rampage and many more Interplay classics 50% off!

This week we want you to take a look back at the catalog of one of the all-time greats. Along the years Interplay released an impressive number of instant classics in whichever genre you look: real-time strategies, sci-fi simulators, cartoony platformers, 3D shooters... you name it. They were able to achieve even more, launching titles that have become stepping stones for the entire industry, changing the discussion around game mechanics or genre confines. This week's weekend promo brings you these unforgettable titles at a 50% off discount. Let's walk you through some of the classics from the Immense Interplay lineup.

Freespace 2, featuring action-packed missions, well-balanced flight model, and a gripping storyline with grueling plot twists, garnered numerous "game of the year" awards in 1999 and remains one of the best space sims ever created. If you want some quirky humor and intense gameplay check out and [url=http://www.gog.com/game/mdk_2]MDK 2. The games set new standards for action titles in level design and inventiveness with polished sniper zoom feature and the fast-paced skydiving sequences. Sacrifice, on the other hand, is a 3D real-time strategy game released before 3D real-time strategy games existed. Unlike the genre’s leaders at the time—the Command and Conquers and Warcrafts of the world—it took the bold step of letting the player control an individual character on the battlefield, and offered them the opportunity to play the game from an entrenched third-person perspective.

Navigate to the promo page, to see the entire selection of 30+ fantastic Interplay titles, all available 50% off. The promo lasts until Tuesday, January 6, at 4:59AM GMT.
I've never played to any Interplay games! Which game do you advise me to buy if I had to do one?
For whatever reason we're still missing Cyberia 1 & 2 from Xatrix and Interplay.
Shogo finally goes on sale! And I can't get it for now... maybe next time. :/

Maybe those were the 2 last games we were supposed to get?

Grargar: Arx Fatalis isn't discounted. I just meant that 50% is better than Arx Fatalis zero discount for over two years.

I wonder if Gex will ever go on sale. Even since it came to GOG it has always been the same price.

You missed a lot! :) I can recommend Earthworm Jim 1. Many other games are great, but you need to take into account which genres you like and whether you are fine with old school graphics.

It's only been on GOG for a month. Give it a little time. It will go on sale eventually.

The old school graphics are not a problem for me, I've played a little at The Elder Scrolls Arena and Daggerfall and I could stand for horrible graphics, well not too long or my eyes were going to explode. Well, I haven't seen my wishlist, I have five titles from that editor who interest me: Messiah, MDK 1 & 2, Kingpin and Sacrifice! Does Kingpin is good for first person shooter and Sacrfice for the strategy genre category?

And why Fallout titles have been removed? Problems of distribution rights?

Thanks for your contribution

2.5 actually (GOG release date: 16 October). Having said that, I'm not surprised that Square-Enix decided not to discount it as of yet.

I will give another vote for Earthworm Jim, if you like platformers. Otherwise, go for MDK for some fine shooting (at least that's how I remember it to be).

Interplay sold the Fallout IP to Bethesda, but was allowed to retain the rights for the older games till the end of 2013. Come 2014, the rights expired and Interplay was forced to remove the game from GOG. Since Bethesda hasn't signed a deal with GOG yet, the Fallouts are still missing from here.

Wasnt Another World originally an Interplay game? Im sure they dont own the rights anymore, but I have been wanting that for a cheap price for a while.
Kinda bothers me that "select more to save more" text shows up when you select a game, it is grayed out I know, but still.

This is not one of those sales where picking more (or all) gives much better prices.

I don't have the link handy, but I remember someone asking when those games were going to come a while back, and I'm fairly sure that one of Interplay's representatives stated that it wasn't on their to-do list for one reason or another.
I don't know if it's a problem on my end or with GOG itself but I don't get a bigger discount by selecting more games. Even if I have all games selected I still get the standard 50%.

Thanks for the answers

I just have seen the screenshots of earthworm jim. I saw this game playing in my house's friend a long time ago, but, for a while, I ignored the title. Thanks for the nostalgia.^^ I think I'm going to but it instead of the others.

Okay for the Fallout problem. So, if there's somebody to blackmail, it is Bethesda, no?
