If you're still posting something interesting about the subject, bump it. Kingdom of Amalur The Reckoning gets a demo, bump the thread about the teaser trailer from last year, that's fine. Running around bumping threads saying:

"I wants it!" does nothing, few GOG employees read the forums and even if they all did it's not like laziness is the reason the games haven't been released yet and all GOG needs is a guilt trip to straighten up.

So if the dude wants to bitch that GOG is screwing the pooch, fine, but he should cut out this annoying, passive aggressive bullshit and articulate himself in an actual post. As a side benefit he might actually engage other members of the community and even possible GOG staff in a dialog.

Only if he makes comments that do not add progressive value to the discussion. And is oblivious to everyone else around him. Which, in this case, deathkitten fits the description.

That's another good way to determine bumpability. Mine example is really just a guideline, as I said, if you have a decent reason (or a damn excellent reason for a particularly old thread), by all means. It probably also depends on the conversation, too. One annoying thing about people bumping shit from years ago, is that sometimes you don't realize and reply to somebody from years ago. Also, don't bump if you're going to dreg up some horrible argument, 'cause that's awful. Especially when people start trying to argue with somebody from years ago.

I remember bumping threads that were not even 2 months old, with content very relevant to the discussion and even then I got people screaming "NECRO NECRO, ROMAN IS A JERK, ROMAN WANTS ATTENTION" etc etc

I think it's getting up to the point where it's becoming taboo bumping old threads with relevant content because people go absolutely crazy and jump on you like a pack of wolves at a piece of meat

You know, GOG has recently started banning people for needlessly bumping super old threads. Franky, the admins are on a bit of a power trip and the moderation here has become rather heavy-handed. If you get banned from the forums you also lose access to all your games, so watch out.
