DodoGeo: It works for all Blizzard "Legacy" games. With LOD for Diablo 2 you have to download one installer for D2 and another one for LOD.
The Starcraft key gives you both Starcraft and Brood War in a single download as Brood War didn't have it's own cd key protection.
Everything will sort itself out once I download the expasion to Diablo 2?
Mind you I already have Diablo 2 installed via CD. And they work perfectly. There were color problems but a patch via singing in to Battle.net in game fixed the colors. Only thing its in full screen with black bars to the sids, but nothing bad.
Is there any reason to download the digital version over playing through CD? What benefit does the digital version have besides no longer using a CD?
Elmofongo: I just redeem the CD key for Starcraft on the Battle.net website and its downloading (1 gig, that must be big for Windows 98 PCs back than)
GhostwriterDoF: Originally, it was under 500 megabytes, but after Blizzard issued a no-CD patch, you had to copy the
main file from the CD to the hard disc. Having the Brood War expansion, you would have to copy two
500 meg files, and rename them to your HD. So yes, that was a lot of space to take up on the older
systems.
Make sure you do the same for Diablo II and the expansion.
And for Warcraft 3 I assume?
Elmofongo: Post me a link please
Fenixp: Dude, seriously I will say this, Trying to the colors for Starcraft 1 CD version is more difficult than Diablo 1 :P
Thank goodness Diablo 1 has the color fix mod avaliable for ease.
