Can't say I know how it went on Steam. I only started using after having a GOG account as a backup platform for games that GOG had little to no chance of releasing (e.g. Might and Magic Heroes 6).

I'm new to the whole social aspect of gaming and multiplayer (excluding meeting people IRL to play and that's in a small circle) and wouldn't mind learning the ropes.

P.S. It may seem strange, but I'm somewhat more prone unintentionally get into misunderstandings with people due to being in the autistic spectrum, so I've learned to adopt a "check first" approach.
While autism does give you an eye for detail, it also leaves you wondering where your copy of a manual for social interaction got lost before delivery.

I actually meant uncensored games in general and I know that this won't happen because of ... laws and missing age verification here. I just wanted to drop it here to remind them that this would be a wish :)

For those who want to try the Sunrider series, know that the first game is a pretty decent VN/SRPG hybrid that will take you 7-10 hours to finish and all of that for the price of free. I would quite recommend it.

Sadly, the sequel Liberation Day takes a huge dip in quality. The plot is lackluster, the gameplay is minimal and the game itself can be easily finished in 4 hours. And it has the base price of 22.99 euros! The devs received many complaints after the game was released and in response tackled an additional 'what if' type of scenario, which has nothing to do with the main plot, to the latest edition and called it done. Ultimately, it's a disappointing sequel, and if you want to get it, get it while it's on sale, because it's not worth the base price.

I haven't played the Sunrider Academy, but it's just another 'what if' game and has basically nothing to do with the first two games.

I cannot contact you in chat because of your privacy settings. But whatever. Maybe others would like to try Doki Doki Literature Club as well. It was recommended to me and I played/read it a bit.

Eden* has some kind of expansion that's not on GOG. Can anyone confirm whether that's skippable? I read it's supposed to be non-canon

Being on my friendlist is not that useful (I'm not much of a social person either, on the internet), but you're welcome on the forum, I suppose. The community here is much more friendly than average (in my experience) when it comes to gaming. Oh and yeah, sorry for the spelling mistakes :D

There is an expanded version of eden* that is only available on Mangagamer website. It basically adds 4 (I think it was four) sex scenes that are not canon and are only accessible from the main menu after you finish the game once.
The core game is basically unchanged. There are a few scenes of non-sexual nudity (for example, the girl wears a bikini in the normal version, while the breasts are only covered by hair in the expanded version). Additionally, the scenes of violence have additional blood added to them.

Tactical, yes. Choose your own adventure, not really: there are very few choices, and most of the few existing ones are cosmetic. Mostly you click along in order to advance dialogue.

The good thing is that you can choose focusing on the battles and developing your fleet and paying not that much attention to the more silly aspects of the story or the more tired anime tropes. That said, the tale of the exiles in a guerrilla war against tough odds works. The player has the POV of the captain of the ship. Said captain has flaws and is not exactly likeable, but as a character he has some (not that many) redeeming qualities.

But I guess you did not play Command & Conquer mostly for the story. Same here.
