Blizzard Entertainment and GOG.COM have teamed up to rerelease select classic Blizzard games, beginning with Diablo®, Blizzard’s legendary 1996 action role-playing game that introduced players to the harsh—and deeply rewarding—world of Sanctuary.

The original Diablo® is available now via digital distribution for the first time ever on GOG.COM. Players looking for the authentic Diablo experience can play the game as it was in 1996, with period-appropriate 20 FPS SVGA graphics, and the ability to matchmake through the classic version of Blizzard’s Battle.net® online-gaming service.

Blizzard and GOG.COM have collaborated on an updated version of the game, which includes out-of-the-box Windows 10 compatibility, and a host of bug fixes. Players can choose either version of the game from a launcher.

Swedrami: Q: Is Diablo: Hellfire supported/coming to GOG.COM?
A: We have no plans to bring Diablo: Hellfire to GOG.COM at this time.
Can the retail version of Hellfire be used with GOGs version of Diablo?

jakandratchet: Wow, this blew me away. I never expected to see anything from blizzard here.
same here .... Blizz is one of the many that love DRM , although it looks like EA is the largest DRM hugger :D
and Bigfishgames is the number one DRM huggers for casualgames ( wrappers, install client and maybe more)

Nergal01: GOG's Twitter page already confirmed that Warcraft: Orcs & Humans and Warcraft II are in the works. No idea when, or whether Warcraft 2 will include Beyond the Dark Portal, but it's something to look forward to. :)
There is absolutely no reason for them not to include the official expansion for Warcraft II.

Yep, so I'm hoping for the best.
Postin in legendary thread.
One of the oldests entries in GOG wishlist I believe...
My old CD is long gone and not working, having it digitally solves headaches.

Guess it's time to make a stickie in the game thread with available mods.
Oh! Nice.

Change that to WILL. As it has been basically confirmed by Blizzard on their Diablo 3 news page article in the Q&A section:

Quoted:

Q: Are other classic Blizzard games coming to GOG.COM?
A: Yes! We have announced that we’re partnering with GOG.COM to release Warcraft: Orcs and Humans and Warcraft II. We’ll reveal more information at a later date.

If they're going to release Windows version (Warcraft 2: Battle.net edition from 1999), then add-on is integrated with this version. IF I remember correctly, only DOS version of Warcraft 2 had separated base game and add-on.

Assuming that there will be released windows version (Blizzard seems to completely abandon DOS version after releasing Battle.net edition), add-on should be included.

Done :)
Hell just froze over...
As soon as I saw this on Reddit I came running with my wallet open. Blizzard still has a long ways to go to reclaim its former glory, but this is a freaking AWESOME first step.
World must've ended and no one bothered to tell me? ;-p
Looks like anything that isn't sold on Battle.net is fair game for GoG. Unfortunately that means no to Diablo 2 and probably Starcraft since Blizzard is selling the remastered version already. Also wouldn't bet on Warcraft III since the remastered version is coming as well. So that leaves...

Warcraft 1
Warcraft 2
Lost Vikings
Blackthorne
Lost Vikings 2
