Hot potato, anyone?
I do, remember how EA replied to fellow GOGer that GOG store is not an authorized EA games seller?
"There is no official information from our side." could mean something like: *I have no clearance for such information, my superior replied that there is nothing to comment on our [Bethesda] side*. Nightdive already failed to release System Shock Remake game and is probably deep in many other ongoing projects already, so this could take a while, maybe an eternity, or maybe just a couple of more weeks.
Even though it's supposedly DRM-free, I'm not buying this a 4th time on Steam for the free remaster.

Bought this twice when it came out (jewel case and big box) and once here. I love the game, but sod this.

I knew it, I f***ing knew it!

See GOG is STUFFING people around.

See I told you all and you all s**t on me!

Then you lot low rate me for this and low rate me for that WHEN WILL YOU LOT EVER LEARN!

Remember when I said GOG downloader is going to be replaced and lo and behold GALAXY FFS!

Then gamergate happened now instead of old games we get eugh... Visual Novels and they are NOT VERY GOOD

I warned you all this would happen!

remember when GOG got rid of one world one price, Or all of their other tenets!

Now we have certain DRMed games exclusively for GALAXY!

ChrisG_: I know, i just hope this issue will be resolved rather than cut
Quake 64 is just an interesting port rather than a completely different game like Doom 64 is, apparently, so I don't think it would be a huge loss. That said I do of course hope it is included (and made DRM free on Steam as well).

Berzerk2k2: From Bethesda support:
Corporations always say "nothing to announce" until they plan to announce a thing, this means nothing. They would deny the existence of a new game the day before the game was announced.

If GOG publicly said they expect this to come out here, I'm sure they have a reason to do so. They have no reason to lie and annoy people who likely had no expectation for it at the start, given Doom 64 is not out here.

It's pretty damn good. Hopefully comes here in the next Bethesda dump.
As a side-note, Doom 64 is completely DRM-free on Steam. I currently have it on a USB stick and can run it on computers that never had Steam.

Also Snowberry/Deng autodetects it so you can use the textures and models

Uhhh, it kinda is DRM-free on Steam already.

Here's the thing: Once you sell your soul to Satan (by setting up a bethesda.net account), you can access the add ons and download Quake64. Even after you download the Q64 files, you'll have to go through the (bethesda.net-tied) add on-button in the main menu every single time you want to play Q64 - however, there is a workaround.

- Start Q64.
- Save your game

Congratulations, you now have a DRM-free backup of Q64! You don't need internet access, you don't need to activate Q64 via the add ons menu, you don't even need a bethesda.net account to play. All you need is to reload that savegame you've made while playing Q64.

Add ons being tied to bethesda.net is completely arbitrary bullshit, probably an effort to get more fools to sign up for their shitty service (hey, worked for me!). But no, you wouldn't actually need this crap to play the add ons, once activated all the required files are stored on your PC and every time the game has you sign in to bethesda.net they're making you jump through artificial hoops. Best solution for gog customers would be to include Q64 by default (it takes up about 90MB, the resulting bloat should hardly bother anyone).

Good to know. I wonder why they're being asshats about making people do the Bethesda account stuff when after being bought by Microsoft I doubt it matters anymore.

Lovely!
Aubrey Hodges is a really talented ambient music maker.
In my opinion it's time SmollestLight keeps talking and tells us what the actual fuck is going on here and why the enhanced edition update is still not here (on Steam they already released a small first patch for it yesterday).
