clisair: I know that fully zoomed in the original graphics are a horid mess but the zBase, the 32 bit option, are smooth and clear. here is the load windo in both modes. You can deffinitely see the difference.

IronArcturus: Sounds interesting! Is there a way to download this from the OpenTTD site manually? When I look under downloads, it only lists the main binary and OpenGFX/OpenSFX/OpenMSX.
The xBase I think is included in the download. Also the game itself will download assets from OpenTTD from within the game. Letting the game download them is much simpler than trying to do it manually. I originally thought I had to do it that way as well, but was able to get all the ai scripts and mods as well as rolling stock from within the games downloader.

But is it possible to download it manually? I can't seem to find the path for it.
Oh well, despite my -15% user's discount on Steam, still decided to get TF2 from GoG...

Matewis: I've tried Simutrans, but for some reason the look puts me off. There is a certain charm to TTD's presentation that always pulls me back to it.
OpenTTD definitely has the more charming presentation and a somewhat better UI. That's why I often start to play OpenTTD until the local authorities and the more simple simulation annoys me too much and then switch to Simutrans. I would like to have a combination of the TTD graphics and interface and the Simutrans simulation engine.
Nevermind.

Matruchus: Contact gog.com so that they can give you the missing 15% since gog meanwhile fixed the missing discount. I guess you will get some Wallet funds back.
He doesn't have Train Fever on GOG:

Yeah, I understand now. Somehow I thought he had it. Ah, well. Reading too fast again.

Eitherway, 4 more days left to the release, yey.

I've been watching one particular let's play series that's been pretty fun to follow, while allowing for skipping over some of the boring bits. This guy isn't the greatest player, which he readily admits, making some rather daft decisions, but it's kind of entertaining watching him bumble along. I still wonder how he was able to crank out 16 30-50 minute episodes in a week, yet he's barely gotten to the 1930s so far. He mustn't get much sleep.

Anyway, the game does look much improved over Train Fever. Many of the first game's faults seems to have been addressed, so that's good. The way industry works now is especially a giant plus. Looks like it still has its imperfections, but I wasn't expecting an immaculate product.

Yes, I'm very much looking forward to playing my copy I already pre-ordered, which is a rare thing for me to do... That is, if I can tear myself away from The Witcher 3 long enough. ;)

Skye Storme is pretty awesome!
I used to watch him play Cities Skylines and Banished before I got them. Very entertaining chap!.
Now I'm getting my TpF fix before its release tomorrow. Really can't wait!
Quick question - why does it say it will be released on Steam in approximately 9 hours, whereas on GoG it says 22h+?
Oh, already released? It showed 13 hours to release an hour ago. Eitherway, downloading now and can't wait to play it.

Thanks again to Urban games for making a Linux version of Transport Fever and Train Fever.

Edit: Linux version seems to be broken. Can't launch the game :/ It crashes before loading the game at all.

After watching hours of gameplay by other people, the vehicles in Transport Fever look really jerky, and tons of micro stutter is going on.

Can anyone who has played Transport Fever tell me how bad / distracting this is?

This is the biggest thing stopping me from buying the game right now.

I had no issues in TrainFever, but my machine it not that bad either. Very large maps did get laggy at times.

Since TransportFever has three times wider maps than TrainFever, I wonder myself.

Hi,
I tried the linux build and it worked with my system. What error do you get when you start the game in the terminal?

My OS is OpenSuse 13.2, by the way.

Linux Mint 17.3 and I already emailed the devs about it. Otherwise the game crashes automatically on launch and it doesn't load at all. I get this in terminal: Segmentation fault

I don't know. The devs think its an opengl problem.
