Sdfghj: Yeah, you get this - on steam...
avatar
Matruchus: Can you clarify what you mean.
To cite the official page:

"We wanted to express our gratitude to all players of the former game Train Fever by offering a 15% loyalty discount. In addition, there is a 10% pre-order discount, and both discounts can be combined: so everyone who owns Train Fever on Steam will be able to purchase Transport Fever at 25% off up until the game’s release. This applies to Steam players at least, details for GOG players will be announced a bit later."

So, we are being screwed on gog.com again as usual. Will hold on buying this until this gets fixed by gog. Its not fair that you can get this game on Steam for 25% in preorder for owners of Train Fever and here its only 10%.

Why are there no actual game play screen shots of this on the store page?

I find it quite strange that all images of the game are taken from the promotional videos, and NONE of them show in-game footage.

Has anyone outside of the closed beta testers actually seen the game in motion yet?

Well, I wouldn't say, we are screwed as usual. ATM gog just doesn't seem to offer the best deal. But we don't know about the DRM included in the steam offer. That always is a big factor for me.
Somehow I couldn't warm up to Train Fever. Probably because of the bugs. I might give it another try before getting this .

What I mean is that in every other preorder or release we don't get the same discount as Steam and then after we make some sound/complain gog fixes it a day or two later. I mean I expect them to change it to 25% for previous owners soon.
Looks very cool.

Wow that is quite impressive. That might even be a little more than what base OpenTTD has.

I would love it if they could later make an expansion with more known vehicles like with the german ICE, french TGV, etc. but that probably needs licensing then.

On the game page it says the game will have extensive modding support, so perhaps we can rely on the modders for that. Modders have done some amazing things with openttd. There's even one in which the passenger/mail system is upgraded so that passengers/mail have specific destinations.

Hm, I don't know about modding since Steam version has Steamworks support in Transport Fever. Questionable if we can see a lot of mods here.

The wording is Steam Workshop and extensive modding support so I'm not sure. Guess we'll have to wait and see. At least I won't be able to touch the game with my current system so I have an excuse to wait :)
