MMLN: It will be posted in next few days on Obsidians Pillars of Eternity forums and portal.

SeduceMePlz: When and where did they say that? Last I knew, they couldn't or wouldn't tell us when we would get our keys or what digital edition backers at each tier would receive... Has that changed?
http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/70920-update-91-closing-in-on-march-26th/

There is written:

So, let's say that you have completed your pledge confirmation. What do you do? Well, not much right now. On the week of release we will give you another backer update that goes into detail on how to use our reward redemption system on the Backer Portal. This will show you how to download all of your rewards. If you would like a preview of the system, it is explained in detail in Update 83. Just check out the Wasteland 2 section and it will describe how key redemption works.

Strange: I didn't get the usual email about the update.

Thanks for the heads up. Now the question is:

Will backers get keys appropriate to their pledge tiers?

Well, we can only hope that we do.

I am silver backer as well, so it interests me as much as you, but I am one of the patient folks, so I can live with day or two delay for the gog key :) I am playing two games at the moment, and I would love to finish at least one on them before I start PoE :P

Earlier today, dev Brandon Adler confirmed that backers who use Steam will receive keys matched to their pledge tiers:

"We are giving people Steam editions that we have matched to their tiers. On Monday I will make a post showing the different mappings. Also, everyone will be able to download their rewards from our backer portal, as well."

I asked if GOG keys will be matched but haven't got an answer yet. I'm hoping he actually meant "digital editions" when he said "Steam editions"...
I'M SO EXCITED ONLY LIKE 2 WEEKS NOT EVEN THAT MUCH I PLEDGED SO LONG AGO I HAVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG I AM SO HAPPY AND EXCITED!!!!!

yep! for me this may be the most exciting kickstarter release so far.

kickstarter has been pretty awesome :)
My connection ain't that great where I am at the moment, so I don't even know if I can download the game as quickly as I'd like to :D

But I'll succeed and I'll play it...at some point! xD

Well, Badler finally confirmed what I was thinking all the time from the beginning, Shipping lag for EU. So looks like I will have to stay out of internet for a few days. Well now I am really happy that I am such a patient person :P
Knowing Paradox, they'll probably treat us GOGers like 2nd class citizens and only release the game on release day. Won't be able to preload probably. Then it'll be a good week after release before I can play.
What happens to those of us using steam for beta/alpha?

Hope we get to have the steam key and GOG key. So I can play on day 1, then transfer the saves to the GOG version.

Alpha and Beta is handled like separate game. You will get to chose Steam or GoG on release.
Just out of curiosity, what version of the game on GOG will I be able to claim when I pledged $50 back during Kickstarter (the "Digital Fun Pack ")? Technically I pledged $78, but $25 was for a possible expansion, and $3 was for the Obsidian Order.

I've checked their site and forums but I can't find any info as to what my copy will be. I know in either case I'll have my copy here in a week or so though. Just thought I'd ask the GOG community :)

The thing is, this is all what comes with what I pledged for (and still says this on the Pillars of Eternity official site):

Digital Downloadable Copy of Pillars of Eternity, DRM free for Windows, Mac, or Linux.
Kickstarter only in-game achievement and item.
Pillars of Eternity Kickstarter Backer Forum Badge.
Digital download of the Cooking with Tim Cookbook – An RPG-themed e-Cookbook.
Digital download of the making of Pillars of Eternity Documentary.
Digital Downloadable Soundtrack in MP3 and FLAC.
Digital Collector's Book.
Digital Novella by Chris Avellone.
Digital Campaign Almanac.
Kickstarter Exclusive In-Game Pet.
Digital High-Res Game Map.
Digital High-Res Concept Art Pieces.
Wallpapers for Multiple Monitors.
Ringtones.

The Champion Edition doesn't have all that, but the Royal Edition does. Unless I'm missing something on the cross comparison of the different editions. And no, I'm not including the kickstarter exclusives.

Either way, I'm still not sure.
