I've yet to see any evidence of such a miracle. Unless you consider necroing old threads "constructive". He's the same troll he's always been.

Tauto started out as an alt account of a prolific scammer, but has since come to - I think - be a quite constructive member of the community on the whole. I rarely see anything hugely troublesome from him nowadays, and I find it pretty poor form to keep downvoting even the most harmless of posts from him.

Well, if that's so, then downvote the offending posts, not every single post he puts up. Negging even the most innocuous comments makes it look dubiously like a bullying campaign.

WTF, are you serious? You don't check the forum much nowadays, right?
Tauto daily harassed people for an entire year, he's friendly with scammers, he necroed threads for a month until just last week or so, he never repented or said he was sorry.. and now he's a "constructive member of the community"?
Please, let's not be naive here..

But his innocuous post aren't innocuous. Just look at this thread. He's comforting the OP about his being downrepped and he's the one who derepped him!!! :P You can't make this shit up. :P

What impression, you yourself (correctly) told him:
"It's a huge, insensible mess in a fundamentally broken, negativity fostering system [..] GOG will never fix it."
At least this will make him careful about Tauto & company.

Heh, it's a difficult line to tread. I am always amused by the conundrum of these (latest) welcoming threads, between "explaining that this forum is a horrible place populated with horrible people" and "but not giving the impression that this forum is a horrible place populated with horrible people".

It's not random, Behind it lies a genuine paradox involving self-fulfilling prophecies (people leave/avoid horrible places, which makes them more horrible). On such matters, it's hard to find a phrasing that explains a problem without being part of it. Even when trying.

And there, look. Worsened. :-/

I disagree with people low rating members in giveaway threads just because they're "New User's". I am a "New User", but that dosen't mean that I am an alt user or just joined to get free games. I participate in a lot of threads, a few of which happen to be giveaways. But I always make sure that I meet the requirements and I am always grateful whether I win or lose.

I understand that people are wary of scammers, but this is basically discrimination against "New User's" and not a good way to get more people to join GOG.

That's just my opinion and I'm not trying to start a fight, nor am I blaming anyone. I just think that there should be a serious increase in moderation and that the rep rating system should be changed.

Yes I plan on picking those up some time. I used to play the LEGO games when I was a kid and just recently played LEGO The Hobbit and really enjoyed that one. :)
