Sim Safari had no DRM. You didn't even need to install, just copy the files from the discs to wherever and they work perfectly.
Q.U.B.E. doesn't have DRM on its retail release.
How is SecuROM acceptable if after a few installs the game disc won't allow you to install the game anymore. Like not owning it.
Personally , SecuROM is one of the greediest types of DRM out there.

I think these games didn't have DRM, but I'm not too sure:
Dawn of War, Winter Assault, Dark Crusade, Soulstorm
Rise of Nations, Thrones and Patriots
Mark of Chaos, Battlemarch
The Club
Metro 2033
Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights
Supreme Commander, Forged Alliance

Metro 2033 is Steamworks.

Unfortunately, yes.
Great idea for a thread. +1
So far I haven't had any luck on post-2008 boxed game without DRM but if I bump into something, I will be sure to share it with you.

There are actually two forms of SecuROM. The first and oldest is the disc-based sort where only the disc is required for authentication. It's fairly harmless and doesn't limit the number of installs, aside from its antics with supposed emulation software.

The second, which Sony DADC introduced around 2007, requires authentication through connection with an online server and limited the number of installations.

DRM-free goodness confirmed. Disconnected LAN cable, unwrapped DVD case, [...] finished game, reconnected LAN cable. It's the same procedure as with Bad Company 2. You get to choose wether to install it with disc authentication or online authentication.

I have the Canadian version. Like every Canadian version it's actually a US version with additional French language. I guess the method of copy protection is identical to every other version available.
I can confirm that the European version of Ninja Blade doesn't demand activation. Ditto for Prototype.
Doesn't Arkham Asylum use GFWL? This thread seems to imply it has limited activations, hardly DRM free.

Is that wrong or does it not apply to the retail version?

Arkham Asulym (on Steam) doesn't have limited activations. It does use GfWL but offline profile should work fine.
Arkham City does have limited activations.
Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl is available cheap with only a CD-key. I know, CD-keys are strictly speaking a form of DRM, but since it one that doesn't prevent you from installing it on multiple machines and doesn't force you to register anywhere, I thought it worth to mention here.

Since when isn't GFWL DRM? For one thing it stops a game working for me at all.

A technology causing a game to stop working doesn't make it necessarily DRM. GFWL has DRM functionality, but it is not inherently DRM. Arkham Asylum does not use the DRM - it can be run without an online connection. Arkham City does.

Or should I call PhysX DRM? After all, that prevented certain games from running at my end as well.

Besides, I've pretty clearly laid out the definition of DRM for the purpose of this list above.
