Ixamyakxim: We just elected a reality TV caricature President. I'm pretty sure we're there already.

That said, I'll totally be voting Oprah '20.

I'd also be fine with Tyler Perry in drag and a fat suit.
'Murica has already become its own satire with Bush Jr.'s first and second season.
The third season (Obama) was kinda boring since most of the nasty stuff apart from parts of the whistleblower hunt wasn't in the spotlight enough but things may get hilarious again.
Stay tuned!

I think FOX has bought the White House at some point along the line, probably before the whole "a blowjob for Clinton" thing.

I hope that when you get older you will open some books and newspapers. I hope that you will have learned that youtube is full of people who think they know it all when they really don't know jack shit.

I open books, but not those distributed from instructors in the communist youth. In fact, first time i read about NWO and globalization, it was from books. I read books. Many books. Of all types. And besides watching youtube, i also have a channel there. Plus, i might be older than you. And i had the misfortune to have passed for a brief moment from those abominable communists' gathering; a university "friend" of bygone era, conscripted me there once, where and when i had zero idea from politics and ideology.

What did you expect? All people make mistakes, some of them terrible even, at that. The knowledgeable admit said mistakes, try to learn from them and work hard to correct them. Which is exactly what i do.

DaCostaBR: It's official now: Hillary won the popular vote, yet Trump won the election.

This is the second time in less than 20 years that the candidate with the fewer votes is elected. Counting 1824, 1876, 1888, 2000 and 2016, the electoral college has a failure rate of more than 11%.
Popular vote has no meaning in the US since you don't vote for a person but for state electors vote to go to a candidate in a state. And they need to acquire 270 elector votes from all states. The system is designed so to offset the uneven population spread in the US. Without this system five states with most population would be all that you would need to win and always the same party would be elected forever which would not be fair to the rest of the country plus it would lead in to dictatorship.

Funnily, I just thought about you when they were talking about Melania Trump on the Belgian TV tonight (tto much GOG forum I guess). So what's the word on the Slovenian TV? Is there some national pride as having her as the new First Lady?

It seems like I misunderstood you. The way your name is spelled coupled with your belief in conspiracy theories made me think that you were still a teenager. In that case it will be harder for you to change your beliefs, but I hope that you one day will see that you are mistaken.

Good to hear that you are a reader. I hope that you read books that aren't political as well, because political beliefs can be like poison to reason and truth.

Well the media and politicians are trying to pull back all of the bashing and slaundering they did to her image and to Trumps too. They basically declared her for a slut since they thought he couldn't win :)

Otherwise the people from her hometown are celebrating and hoping to get some tourism opportunities throught that.

Majority of people though are very happy to have a Slovenian as the first lady.

Sargon: your belief in conspiracy theories
1) I don't do "conspiracies". I know certain facts like "Kalergi" behind European Union. Historic person, real course of action, modern "consequences". There is even a prize named after him, Kalergi prize, that Merkel and van Rompuy were decorated with it.

2) Conspiracy theories are not aliens and reptilians. Real and existing ones are of powerful orgs, hidden groups/societies and other stuff, that through "rhetoric ridicule" from bought voices, people are averted even from the mere thought of their existence. Let alone watching them, their actions and the dire consequences of those actions in the lives of your average person. But "the best place to hide a secret, is before the eyes of everyone", right?

3) Globalization and Kalergi plan will fail. No, not will... They are GOING TO fail. As well as their proponents. Count on my word.

I know what the electoral college is, and it's a broken system.

The top five most populous states comprise less than 40% of the population, it includes blue states, red states and a swing state, so campaigning there alone is not sufficient to win any election. Besides, the fact that historically the candidates are rarely more than one or two million votes apart in the popular vote, in this election even less, shows that the candidates could not afford to neglect any potential voters under a popular vote system.

The electoral college system not only forgoes equality and makes some persons' votes weigh more than others, but it also makes many of these votes worth nothing at all, since 50% plus one vote is all it takes for a candidate to gain all the state's electoral college votes in almost all states. This means that in their misguided attempt at equal representation they've created a system with even less representation in which a democrat's vote in a red state, or a republican's vote in a blue state, are worth nothing. All it does is ensure that instead of the candidates focusing their attention on reaching the maximum number of voters, they'll spend the majority of their campaign on a few swing states, who more often than not determine the election's results by themselves.

richlind33: If you think about it, Trump *had* to win to keep our "democratic" political system afloat. It's designed to function as a two-party system, not a one-party system. If the Republicans had kept on tanking for another 4 years, I think there'd have been serious talk about secession in some of the red states, and the fractures in our society would've started to rip open -- which is going to happen sooner or later, but Trump's victory tells me that the system has just gotten a new 10-20 year lease on life.
Secession would have been fine by me.
