Ah ok, so they have thought about this. That does make sense, if they were to offer cheap or even free GOG keys in some bundles, they'd want them to be recognized as GOG bundles, not Steam (and a little bit of GOG on the side) bundles.

With the Origin sale a lot of people probably ignored the Origin keys, I imagine GOG wouldn't want the same thing to happen. ;)

Surely that has more to do with GOG's forum (and its inhabitants) superiority compared to the Steam forum (and total lack of a Humble forum), rather than GOG's value compared to Humble Bundle.

It does, gOg will not only loose the custom from those who do not care (buying it from Humble, using the Steam key) but also loosing a % customers who would have bought the game on gOg but then trade the Humble gOg key for it instead. So it is a bit of a double whammy.

If getting them DRM-free is his goal I would say so.

I like steam just because it was the first digital software I found out about, where I can get games, and Humble Bundle was how they introduced me, I got the Humble Bundle and it came with steam keys. I like Humble Bundle how you pay anything you want to get games, but like everyone on here, I hope GOG grows, because Steam is getting too big for itself and doesn't really care about testing games or anything.

Yep, I think gog has to make some kind of deal with humble bundle. Both are the flagship of drm-free content (or... well, at least humble used to be Y_Y)

GOG is a competition of Humble Bundle, why on earth would they cooperate? it's like saying nVidia should cooperate with AMD...

Steam is a competitor of Humble...

I suspect its intentional by the publisher. If they view DRM-free as a means to theft... they likely wouldn't release to GOG unless they were willing to release to 1$ thrift-mart (Humble, groupees, bundle stars, etc). Getting games here just before the bundlers get them is likely the only way some publishers will ever allow it.
