I see the vote hopping, but when I reread them, his statements in those posts don't seem all that contradictory. It looks a lot like he keeps getting persuaded by this and then that.

I'm curious how you reconcile being willing to vote Micro when Red is already on Micro's wagon.

I would only vote Micro to prevent a no lynch, I"m not as sold as everyone else that he's scum.

I originally believed that a Lynch on Pooka would help me reveal player alignments. I also thought that Scum could use the mistrust of Pooka to get a Lynch on D3. Then I spent the next seven hours worrying about Lynching a Cop. My realization was:

If we Lynch Pooka, and he's Town, we get one try to find the other Scum.
If we Lynch Pooka, and he's Scum, we get two tries to find the other Scum.
If we don't Lynch Pooka, we get two tries to find the other Scum, plus 1 if/when we succeed.
With 3 players left on Day 4, the odds are the Cop is either dead or has claimed.
If Pooka gets NK'd during Night 2 or Night 3, we'll know he was the Cop. (or a Vanilla Town who panicked)

I thought Trent was the one defending the "wait and see" approach. Why insist on auto-lynching Pooka on D3 if he survives the night?

Are you trying to say I am insisting that Pooka be auto lynched if he survives the night??

Not sure about my availability tomorrow, so I'll be voting today if nothing major comes up.

I just did a reread on Micro, and something caught my eye. If he were scum, would he vote No-Lynch first day? Why draw attention to himself?

I'll be honest on a re-read Red seems more strange indeed. However, regarding him, I'm getting the impression that if he were scum he would have been coached during N1. I can't find traces of coaching in his posts.

Where is Pooka?
#397 of ZFRs clears him somewhat, in that I doubt scum would find something positive to say about a townie who is so close to hammer.

Hm. I just looked back, and while that's the implication I first got from the ZFR/Trent exchange in posts 319, 320, and 322, it can also be read innocently. It was Pooka who's wording implied an auto Lynch if he survived.
Which is strange to say the least. Anyway, going over Trent's posts on the whole, he looks much more Town than I first thought. Which bums me out a bit because now I don't have 2 guesses for scum. That leaves either hardreading Pooka as Scum, or trying to find something in the posts of the other players.

If I were scum and knew a townie is about to be hammered I'd be singing paeans of praise about that person.

So from "doubting very much that Pooka is scum." he suddenly moved to scummiest in order. And I'm droppped second last because I wrote "something positive" about you before you got hammered.

a) Pooka is scum, ZFR is town or
b) ZFR is scum, Pooka is Cop,
and I've been flipping between one and t'other as each side gives points. making a final decision is hard, as I have been equally convinced that A or B is exclusively true.

Well, what you said about the paeans of praise might be true for you, but I'm not sure I would.
Also, I am VT/TV (with only 5 channels, mind you) and you have convinced me that you are scum...I think. ;-) If so, Congratulations, scum/townie. You removed a regular townie from the game, helped doom the captain in his sickbay, and allowed us to not find out Pooka's flip before nightfall, or possibly, at all.

Assuming it's true, and at this stage you have no reason to lie but who knows, then sorry but I stand by my hammer being a good decision at this stage.

I'm sorry I played so badly, but I stand by what I said. "Looking at them from either T!Pooka or T!ZFR's perspective I can absolutely convince myself that the other is scum; when looking at them at the same time I think either one might be and I simply cannot make up my mind." if they are both town...wow am I a bad player. :-)
