Dedo: Would you care to explain your vote a little more? I really do not understand what you seem to find so scummy about me.

In general, I am uncomfortable with voting for anyone other than Ixam at the moment. I will, however, vote for someone else closer to the deadline, should a lynch not have been achieved already.

This makes things really hard for me. I'm back and forth about you (as I mentioned in a previous post) but I thought the best way to figure out where I stand on how scummy I feel you are was by watching your voting.

I still like my vote on Sage but that clearly isn't going anywhere (interesting) and I'm still not totally comfortable with a vote on you. I have one other vote in mind that probably ranks a bit higher than you but I'll hold for now.

And CSPVG I hate to ask this, because I really don't want to draw even more scum attention to people I feel are strongly leaning town (I think we have a good "town block" - I want to avoid scum killing us off or tricking us into votes), but why do you continue to ignore those who seem convinced I'm town?

RWarehall: Included only because I believe there should be 4 scum from the starting numbers.
That's a bummer - my guess (I have no inside information on this) was two, maybe three.

Not much more to say. I will refer you to my post #588 rather than repeat what was already written there. The main thing I don't like about you this time around is that you seemed to not read the OP, which seems odd to me. Usually scum are the ones that don't need to try too hard to pick things to work with and are more likely to skim through the posts. The clock adds additional pressure to make a decision sooner rather than later.

Why only two? Three I can understand (its the lower range on my scum count guess), but 2 seems kind of low for the number of players.

vote count

JMich - 2 (Robbeasy, flubbucket)
flubbucket - 2 (RWarehall, Bookwyrm627)
Sage - 1 (Ixamyakxim)
CSPVG - 1 (dedoporno)
Krypsyn - 1 (trentonlf)
Ixamyakxim - 1 (CSPVG)

With 13 alive it takes 7 to lynch
Did I miss someone?

Ixamyakxim: I'd probably have Bookwyrm a bit higher on my scum radar were it not for the fact (and I've actually felt this way since I started playing) that I feel like he plays a very similar game to me.
And now that I've gone back and re-read your posts (adalia, your script seems to be working wonderfully well!), I see what you mean. I also agree, it looks like we play somewhat similarly.

After re-reading, I'm inclined to put Ix in my list a little below the level of Krypsyn. Flub, as the bottom of the list, keeps my vote for now.
looks like we are heading for either a speed lynch or a no-lynch...

rwarehall has been pretty much 100% confirmed Town by the Mod.

By inference, so has Ix and Bookwyrm.

So, disregarding all fluff to do with these three , we look elsewhere.

Hard Fact - HijacK was town.

Jmich was after him all day - no surer scum tell is there. All other scum tells for me are open to WIFOM or conjecture.

Vote stays on Jmich

You say you have someone as scum enough to vote but yet you do not vote or care to share this tid bit with others. Is there a reason to keep something you have seen as scummy hidden? I am just wondering why you feel the need to mention it yet refuse to tell. Why not just keep it to yourself and not post that sentence at all unless that sentence is supposed to have an impact on someone,

Would you mind commenting on post 643 then? You do seem to have missed it.

adaliabooks: Basically I found your wording a bit vague and contradictory and thought it might be because you'd made the whole thing up, but I understand it can be difficult to explain while not quoting your PM. JMich has offered some kind of confirmation of your explanation, although that doesn't give me too much faith as he's right up on my scum list and he might be doing so to give himself town points.
It simply strikes me as odd that you worded it the way you did. The first sentence doesn't make sense if you're trying to describe me as Mafia or Town.

avatar
adaliabooks: if he knows who is town he doesn't need to let a random number decide.
There's two ways to look at this, one is that I got my results before I chose who to pass the power on to, the other is that I'm simply Mafia making this up, and the RNG was just a clever way to pass that along, although that might be me interpreting negatively.

avatar
adaliabooks: If he doesn't know who his town it makes some sense to choose who to pass a power to randomly, but that seems harmful to town, why not choose your towniest player?
But he then states he knows it's going to a townie... how?
The easy answer is even the towniest player could be Mafia, especially with a fucked up Day 1 like we keep having. Made even more interesting in that Hijack was lynched from first vote to last in the course of a short amount of time when you look at it from the perspective of the game.

I'm harping on the quote a bit because it keeps bothering me, it reads to me like you want to accuse me of lying without actually saying it. And if you don't believe me, that's fine, makes things all the more interesting, but come out and say it.
avatar
Robbeasy: excessively quiet, and was after HijacK all day 1, who has been confirmed Town
avatar
JMich: What happened to me going back to neutral if HijacK was town? Did I climb that high on your list during day 2, or was post 503 bull?
As time has gone by, no-one else has risen up for me at all, therefore your neutralness has pushed into scumminess. This has been facilitated by your infrequency of posting, and when you do post they are short and of little substance, in the main.

Don't get me wrong - you don't stand out a mile, but you stand out slightly more than others

Basically when you claimed I immediately put you down as town and thought in light of what we knew your claim made sense. But when I did my reread I found I couldn't make sense of what you'd actually said and it didn't seem to add up.
I wasn't actually saying you were lying, just that (as with anything in this game) there was the potential that you were lying.
If I'd thought you were lying I'd have voted for you already.
It's since been cleared up to the point that I won't worry about it because probability does suggest that despite not understanding what you were saying you appear to be telling the truth.

@Sage
I'm posting from my phone so I can't check properly and confirm this, but isn't Ix voting for you? Presumably making you his scummiest player.

Hm, allow me another quote then.

avatar
Robbeasy: Jmich was after him all day - no surer scum tell is there
If me being after a townie all day (which I wasn't, I did go after Dedo a bit earlier) is the surer scum tell there is, why would I be going back to neutral in your eyes back in post 503? You know, the one that had me as certain scum if HijacK was also scum, but neutral if he was town?

Even though you just called me scum, I have been wondering about the very same things since last night.

dedoporno: @RWarehall, can you remind me why we have Robbeasy as leaning town?
He's kind of jumped in on both your and RWarehall's town tells to claim town himself, but I couldn't actually see anywhere where it actually confirmed him (it seems he came in afterwards and said "I saw that" but once the tell was already revealed so you couldn't prove whether he had or not, and he actually admitted to not getting your tell on Bookwyrm) but I could just be missing it.

There is where he took his vote off Ix, but I'm not sure whether that really makes him town or not...

I'm not sure I'm liking his play at the moment. While I have JMich leaning scummy myself, he did basically say that HijacK being town would clear JMich in his eyes, but has turned around and said because HijacK was town JMich looks like scum... :/
