Role Madness is what sticks out the most to me about this game. Madness implies roles that we might not expect, unusual combinations, and/or an abundance of power roles. All the roles revealed/claimed so far are all power roles. It wouldn’t surprise me to see many more. Yogsloth and CSPVG still deserve scrutiny. I would like to believe them both but still find that foolish. I expect roles play a part behind the no reveal for RWarehall and Twilight.
In terms of flavor, much has been speculated about the different types of kills. This is probably a stretch, but could the type of transportation be a clue to different types of anti-town factions? Horses were used for the original kill and in the lynch. Twilight’s kill involved a motorized vehicle dragging him to town. Just something to note if it appears later and flavor proves to be a key to solving this.
trentonlf: The few things that stand out to me are:
1. This sentence from flub's description of Twilightbard:
A short length of rope still tied to the leg was neatly cut at one end and expertly knotted at the other. Why mention the rope was expertly tied?
I wondered if this might be telling as well. Someone who was good with knots. Scanning the wiki’s list of roles, the most obvious one was Lyncher and to a lesser extent Fisherman, but neither role description makes sense with a night kill (except a huge long-shot with the fisherman). If the details are in the flavor, it still seems like “expertly knotted” is very specific.
JMich: There is of course the problem that Flub's last votecount before the lynch has 11 people voting for RWarehall, with 10 being needed for a lynch. So even if the theory is correct, it isn't easy to follow (yet).
I chalked this up a matter of timing. If I remember correctly, vote #10 (CSPVG) and #11 (ddickinson) were close together. I thought ddickinson cast a vote before flub had an opportunity to declare the lynch. That’s hard to verify now unless someone else remembers. If the above played out as stated, would including 11 votes be unusual?
adaliabooks: Great, at least someone seems to have some information. I shall await HijacK's reveal with baited breath.
Did any of our prize winners take their free gift out for a ride? And if so would they care to share what it was and what happened?
Looking forward to Hijack’s report as well.
I did not use my prize last night. If my prize was investigative in nature, I would have used it. Revealing more at this point may give away too much. If the need arises later, I will share more. For now it seems unwise.
