Ixamyakxim: Not yet! Flub you forgot you rewarded me with a prize last night! *holds up shovel and crowbar*

So, any volunteers?
avatar
trentonlf: Do you have the ability to use your prize right now? I am confused by your post unless you can raise the dead.
It was actually a bad joke. I was implying that without having a coroner, someone could just dig up the graves and pry open the casket.
So, crew got mod-killed? Luckily she was Neutral with her own agenda, so not sot problematic, but Darko is a real bummer. Was he supposed to be the MVP? Hopefully not the only one.

I don't understand TwilightBard though. What's with the no flip? Or is Darko's flip the interesting part? A couple of possibilities come to my mind:

1. Only Town players flip. (See Darko + RWarehall "SK"), meaning Twilight was scum. Crew flipped because she got mod-killed.
2. Only anti-Town players don't flip (See Darko + RWarehall "SK" + Crew), meaning Twighlight was scum.
3. Town generated kills don't flip (See RWarehall), meaning Twighlight was vigilante/prize killed and Darko was scum killed. Crew was mod-killed.

Next lynch should throw some more light on which is the more likely option and we may be able to work with this.

@Yogsloth, did I miss it or did you not share who you scanned last night?

Also, it seems flavor is more important than every this time around.

Ixamyakxim: Did he flip because of the way he was killed.
This is actually what I've been thinking, but not because of the way, but because of who killed him. It is possible that if faction A is responsible for a kill, we get a flip, while if faction B is responsible, we don't. Which faction is which is as yet unknown, and I've no idea if we have any more neutrals, and how they fit in said equation.
There is of course the problem that Flub's last votecount before the lynch has 11 people voting for RWarehall, with 10 being needed for a lynch. So even if the theory is correct, it isn't easy to follow (yet).

dedoporno: @Yogsloth, did I miss it or did you not share who you scanned last night?
Yar, it was back a page. I investigated (almost typed "scanned!" Whew - close one!) CSPVG as had said I felt forced to, and was roleblocked.

yogsloth said he was COCK BLOCKED, I as assuming he meant he was blocked last night and could not get a read.

trentonlf: yogsloth said he was COCK BLOCKED, I as assuming he meant he was blocked last night and could not get a read.
Ah! I saw that, but discarded it for some joke, because I was too excited about the development. Well, this is a shitty situation.
Another possibility!

I looked up the Coroner in more detail and saw this: Janitor. Never seen this role before, but I remember someone mentioned it in the school game from past experience.

So if this is the case here Twilight may have been Town, but I find this less likely, considering we got nothing with RWarehall.

Does anyone have more in-depth knowledge about this role? Does it scum NK and automatically clean the body afterwards? This seems a bit overpowered and I hope this is not the case.
OK, let's analyse what we have. dedo (and some others) seem to have covered the reasons for the flip on Darko and the no-flip on Twilight. Following the reasoning I would think it is probable that Twilight was Scum and was either killed by a vigilante (if there is any) or by a rivaling mafia faction (if there is any). But unfortunately we will only find out at the next death(s) whether there is a pattern to who is flipped and who isn't.

Going after the flavour I would also say that Twilight was killed by someone professional (Mafia-Killer or Vig) and Darko was killed by someone very deranged (another mad SK? RWare also hinted at liking to dissect his victims and eat their bones)

More flavour analysing, for whatever it may be worth. Or rather a question: Does it mean anything who found the body of Darko? The first ones to the crime scene were Sage and dedo. In a real world crime they would be among the fist to be questioned by the police.
So: question to dedo and Sage: did you recieve anything at night, that said something about finding Darko? Any 'witness accounts'? Or do you have any other explanation for being there before anyone else?

To CSPVG: thanks for confirming my townieness, I guess. Unfortunately that doesn't really mean much if you are either naive or scum only pretending to be a town cop.

It really is a bother that we lost our coroner. Getting some info about the dead people would really help, also to evaluate our two claimed cops. We still don't know much more about them then before the night.
At the moment I really don't know who we should lynch next. Perhaps all the flavour leads us somewhere. Let's try. If that fails and the deadline draws near we can still decide to lynch a lurker.

Lifthrasil: So: question to dedo and Sage: did you recieve anything at night, that said something about finding Darko? Any 'witness accounts'? Or do you have any other explanation for being there before anyone else?
I can't speak for Sage, but I haven't got a single PM so far, after we started the game. I'm not sure why I was in that diner and if this bears some significance.
Sorry I was away from the computer.

I also did not receive any pms since the game started.
I just had another thought: IF the claim of yog that he was role-blocked is true, isn't that another evidence that he is actually a town cop? Because as far as I know blocking a cop is mostly done by scum - so IF he was blocked that means
a) scum knows he isn't one of them.
b) they think they have something to fear from them.

Of course he might also be scum just wanting to prolong the state of uncertainity we are in at the moment. However, since he had already said that he would investigate CSPVG, it wouldn't make much sense to give the 'no reading' reply if yog was scum and CSPVG was town. Because as scum it would be in yog's interest to discredit the cop by claiming to have read him as scum. ... But then again WIFOM....
Another (unlikely) possibility would be that both yog and CSPVG are scum and they are playing for time together - am I getting paranoid enough for this game?

Wait, another possibility: yog might also be a mafia role cop that was blocked by a rival mafia faction. So it seems that what I first read as a pro-town evidence on yog isn't that conclusive after all. ... Damn. I should go to bed. My thinking thingie...brain, is already shutting down. See you tomorrow!
avatar
Lifthrasil: Damn. I should go to bed.
Yeah. It's 3AM here and my head hurts. Going to bed now.
I also have no idea why I was at the dinner.
avatar
yogsloth: Right. So a one-shot vigilante would carve "STAY AWAY" in the guy's chest? CARVE HIM LIKE A FRIGGIN TURKEY? Does that make a fook's bit of sense to either of you guys?
avatar
adaliabooks: About as much sense as a vig turning Darko into nachos...

I certainly see it more likely for a town player to have hit Twilight than to hit Darko, who was fairly strongly town (to me anyway)
Who said anything about Vigilantes in this game? We're not even sure if there are any. The possibility stands, but so does the possibility of having 3 different SK's or some other shit. This is a role madness game and I doubt the surprises ended with what we assume are random no-flips.
avatar
yogsloth: Here's the equation: Lack of cardflips + hordes of cops + presence of coroner = it's entirely the responsibility of the players to construct the big picture from the handful of clues provided. I don't have the answers, but empty speculation without trying to match it to the overall narrative is less than useless- it's even more directionless and confusing that we already are.
You may not like this, but I actually like flub's system. xD

avatar
CSPVG: Your theory about whom killed Twilight is, it is true, slightly more supported by the flavour. It would seem that someone from the outskirts of the town shot him and dragged him back into town, with a warning to stay away from the outskirts carved into his chest. The question for me then becomes: What on earth was Twilight doing lurking around the town's outskirts? I don't think that is worth discussing at the moment though, as only Twilight or flub can confirm to us why he was there last night.
HOLY SHIT! If your logic makes sense, I.......I know what Twilight was doing at the outskirts of town. I am not ready to drop the bomb yet, but I think I know who one of the other scum is.

avatar
yogsloth: Here's the news: NO CARD FLIPS. That means discussing the flavor and clues is the only way forward for town. All the normal methods and tools built into a game of Forum Mafia don't exist or don't work. With the Coroner dead, it's extra no-worky. There are no lynch wagons to analyze. No relationships to test. No lies can ever be uncovered, no gambits can be discovered, nothing, nada, zilch.
I may have the answers to your questions. At least for Day 2.

avatar
trentonlf: 2. Also this sentence: Shortly after midnight a single rifle shot rang out from somewhere around the outskirts where only a couple of shacks exist. If this was an up close kill then it would have not been a rifle. It seems this means the shot was a sniper shot and Twilightbard was not necessarily in the outskirts himself. All we know is we heard a shot then the sound of a vehicle (I am guessing dragging the body?)
Don't ruing my findings. According to flub, I made a wise decision last night. So I am fairly confident my findings will get as a scum lynched today.
