Is yogsloth going to continue to play? I hope he is. Have you heard anymore from Crew, I am concerned about her? And I'm not concerned about her as a player in the game but about her well being.

I know what you mean. I'm concerned about her as well and I really hope she is okay.

I sent her an update regarding the end of Day One and encouraged her to try to rejoin the game ASAP.

I do think I have gained a ton of confidence after the last game. Though remember I did have some little birdies in my ear to help me along. lol. Please look back over the thread, my posts may not be yogs long but I have given my opinions and thoughts on subjects. This game I feel is different (as is every game) but there is a lot more players and a lot more going on, I have been trying to take it all in and keep notes but I must admit with RL, Christmas stuff and hubbies birthday last week I may have not been active in the game as much as I would have liked to be. I am going Christmas shopping later today to hopefully finish at least half the list.

I had been going back over it and compiling notes and thoughts... But my notes stopped at page 45, and I haven't had the heart or energy to resume keeping them.

I will have a look back through and reread your posts to see if I am mistaken.

I also found it harder to keep notes this game. I think with the no RVS and so many players (and a ton of new ones too) at first it was very over whelming. I have vowed to keep better notes for day 2. I had to smile at your page 45 comment as for me we are on page 40 now.

I tried keeping notes in the High School game but just couldn't keep up, I didn't bother at all last game but thought I must make an attempt this game. But I'm not sure I can be bothered, it's so much effort and I hardly ever actually check them. It would be nice if GoG had a better search on the forum...

There is something that is really bothering me. You are very easy to talk about Hijacks play style as it maybe a cover for scum. However, I am feeling you are doing the same exact thing. Hiding behind the im new so anything I post can be taken the wrong way or I am unsure so Im not going to post anything that may have others looking at me.

Now I am not saying you are scum (yet) but to me I am getting tired of hearing Im new as a reason for things. In order to help you need to gain some confidence and plant your feet in the ground and stop worrying so much and/or over thinking things.. cause i feel you are over thinking everything.

Thanks for replying. Now I understand more what you are aiming at. Maybe you are even right and there is a conflict of generations and styles... we'll see. Still interested in your more thorough explanation later, though. I think we have to be thorough, since we still didn't get anything concrete to build up upon.

I have little to say at the moment, however, as reading RW’s flip (SK or scum?) would have been the only thing worth discussing at this point. Let me further illustrate the difficulty we face…

See, I’m not the Town Cop. I’m actually Mafia Role Cop. Unfortunately, I received literally zero help during night zero from my one and only scumbuddy, so I had to do everything on my own. I did figure to start targeting the prize winners first, so I scanned RW… and lo and behold, I got a reading of “Serial Kliler.” (Nothing about “restrictor” btw, I don’t know if I just wasn't told that, or RW made it up, or what.) I actually thought I was too obvious with this post! I overplayed my hand there, but thankfully only RW himself caught it. I decided to claim Town Cop because I thought with the likelihood of multiple factions, it would be possible to convince town that there were two cops…. And even if nobody believed that, with my Day 1 successful conviction and lynch of RW, if a 2nd cop did claim it would look more likely that I was the real one… and at worst, at least I flushed out the real cop early.

Except, of course, that absolutely nothing in the above paragraph is true. I am the Town Cop. (Or at least a Town Cop!) I swear it. Really.

So if I get nightkilled, or you lynch me tomorrow, and there’s no card flip… what are you going to do? What did you learn? How will you evaluate it? What does the lynch wagon mean? What does anything mean? What happens with the next player you suspect of a scum slip? How will you analyze that?

Flub tried to push us back to the duct tape bit (didn't you catch his push on that?) but if that kind of subtle, barely-there text is supposed to be the substitute for actually revealing a dead character’s role, name, and alignment… I don’t think it’s a very good trade.


When even your assistant moderator Kryspyn has to directly link to a Wiki entry that says this:

Whatever your intentions may have been at the start, no matter how much hard work you put into your google docs, your game has bad problems. Whether it’s Master of Orion 3 or Terror at Tres Leches, a game that doesn’t give feedback to the player quickly proves frustrating, and games that are frustrating usually aren’t satisfying experiences… and despite the myriad of insults you hurl at the players, it’s not their fault.

Hopefully the more optimistic among you are correct, and the no-flip was a one-time event only, destroying only Day 2 discussion, and we’ll all look back at my foolishness as temporary hot air. I know I’m getting blamed right now for poor attitude, so this will be my final post complaining and I will attempt to return to my usual Tree-Yelling Hobo self.

I’ll continue until killed in-game. I’ll report my findings if given the opportunity. I’ll contribute as best I can, and hope for the best.
