Is the single player part of Payday enjoyable ?

Not very. It's like playing Left 4 Dead single player. You TECHNICALLY can, sure and sometimes it's fun but most of the payoff is working together and whatnot. Enemies have mutliple entry points but your AI partners stick with you so it's easy to get overwhelmed because you can't spread out as much.

Nope.

And the MP needs -a lot- of coordination to be pulled of good.

I also bought it for cheaps, but I never came around to fully play it. The concept looks very interesting, though.

Thanks . One of my worst purchases was the L4D bundle .

Payday doesn't work for me, even though it has way worse graphics than Left 4 dead 2.

But from what I've seen, bots are stupid as hell.

taczillabr: Interesting that Impulse has a lot of Meridian4 titles I don't remember seeing in other stores, for example The Entente - World War I Battlefields, opinions about it?

p_mamusz: Just forget it. :D Its based on the Cossacks engine, and its totally ill suited for the task. Think Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds bad(which used the Age of Empires engine).. :O

On the other hand, there are better WWI games, WWI: The Great War by Dark Fox based on Blitzkriegs game engine is still fairly pretty, and plays ok for a WWI game. I dont know if you can buy it online though. If you find it dont hesitate to inform me. ^^
Thanks for the opinion man, indeed I got what you mean, the trainwreck that can be a good concept but not at the perfect engine for it, SW: Galactic Battlegrounds as you said. I do love AoE2, but just couldn't get past a few missions from SW:BG without getting bored in the process. Love Cossacks too. I saw that WWI game available on GG, as others answered.

dirtyharry50: Go for Riddick. You won't be sorry. It is a fabulous deal on an amazing gaming experience. Not that Grimrock isn't a fine choice as well but I agree, you are going to have plenty of chances to catch a deal on that coming up.
Thanks. Yeah I'll get Riddick before Friday, I bet, I really bet Grimrock will be in some kind of indie bundle next year. People said the new Syndicate is actually good, and it was made by the same studio which did Riddick and The Darkness. ;)

This title uses Capsule to play and does not require an activation key.
Ewww, I'm not sticking their capsule in, even for free.

I'm glad its not something more tempting. As i already have GOG, steam and desura. Too many distribution sites about!
Only a few hours left, but Naval War: Arctic Circle is 75% off on Steam right now.

Looks like a pretty neat strategy game, except for the lack of a save feature.

it's a great deal. the game is fairly new still, and it has a demo, too.

having never played a naval strategy game before, i almost picked it up at full price (which was already pretty low) after having played the demo, but didn't.

at just €5, it was an instant purchase.

be aware, though, that the game is the product of a very small team of developers operating with limited funds. the graphics are (while not entirely ugly) outdated and genereally lack detail. there is also a huge lack of animations, for example, there is no life on ships, aircraft don't really take off, they just spawn above carriers, etc.

Just like Fleet Command, then.
