BlueMoon "Multi-quoting is fine."
Of Hyper and Lift there's no sign
Give questions or curse
I'll reply in verse
If I can't I should really resign

To Hijack, "I'm great! How are you?"
To yogsloth, "Well, I'm all out too."
The poems on track,
are hard. To mchack,
"I vote 'cause I haven't a clue."
[/i]
To BlueMoon, you should only say,
what you think if you're sure he won't pay.
For I might know too
What yogs wants to do
and it's something I won't say today.

adaliabooks: Somewhat tempted to place a real vote on yogs for his (presumably) false claiming antics, but I'm not sure that's not exactly what he wants.. (also he doesn't like the Foos and for that he should clearly die [or be evicted or whatever we do])
Well, it's quite likely you can't still really tell if it's false or not. I doubt it's just him taking having fun and I'm interested to see where this goes but I don't [yet] see the benefit in voting for him. Something to note is that we almost an entire day has passed since the initial "claim" and during this time yog posted for a second time in which he ignored any and all call-outs but shared thoughts on side-topic game mechanics. In addition a bunch of people are yet to make an appearance which may or may not be of importance.

The Foo Fighters reasoning I can dig :)
So.

Sixteen players. The hope of lynching somebody today is nil. You're not going to get nine people in this game to agree on lunch, let alone lynch.

But we can do other stuff.

Here's who you are: some washed-up has-been landed on this island out desperation. You've got more flaws than a pawn shop wedding ring. You're broken and don't work right anymore.

Except, I would guess, those of you who somewhat do, and you're bad guys.

Oh, I'm Town by the way. Gonna win this one, too.

But probably not by lynching any Scum today, so we'll all just hang out and draw on the bathtub with soap crayons for a while.
Alright yogs, I know what you're doing
I'm the same, but I won't join you in
What I think it is
For whatever it is
I'm sure it works better when seule-ing
I think yogs has a plan. He is not one to just post something with out having thought it out and has some reason behind it. (Yogs has posted on my refresh and given us a bit more information.)

Bluemoon - love the OMG vote for me =P Nice thought on the t-shirt as well.

@adalia - I am with you and dedo on that one. Foo Fighters rock.

With lift and Hyper MIA - I am willing to give them a bit more time to pop in but the longer it is the more I become leery.

As for the lynching someone today - I would not rule it out completely. Doing so kinda reminds me of a o f*ck it today and lets just wait and see how is not here tomorrow and work from that attitude. Yes it will be hard to come together on someone but who knows what is around the corner in this game or who knows what already. (Lookie at yogs post)

agent - Is this poem thing a must of is it something you have come up with make the game more fun and enjoyable on day one? I am wondering if you have to respond in verse if you could even tell us honestly if it is a mandated thing to do.

And last by not least - HI HJACK!!! I am doing ok. Changing jobs has been hell but in a good way down the line. I am getting over a cold so blah there but I am feeling a bit better. How are you? I hope school is going well. OK back to the game. Any thoughts on Yogs?

I am off to play some KQ Ill be back in a bit to see whats going on. How I have missed playing (mafia) !! It is so good to be back in the game.

trentonlf: If you have an idea share it, only way Town will win is if we communicate and work together. Lone wolf or afraid to speak up will kill Town momentum quicker than anything.

Whatever reason yog's had for claiming out of the gate I can't think of a good one for Town, and am still waiting to see what he has to say.
I don't know what you mean by "town momentum", but I don't want to discuss Yog because of what I think I know. You say you can't think of a good reason for town, but I can, which is why I don't want to elaborate. It's like Yog is waving his right hand, so nobody will see what his left hand is doing, and you're asking me to go "look everybody, let's stare at Yog's left hand!"

I think what Yog MIGHT be doing MIGHT help town (if I'm right), so I obviously don't want to say more. Even now I think I'ev said too much, and drawn too much attention to Yog. I guess the only reason I said anything at all is so that if later on I'm proven right, I can point back and say "I knew it, I was right!"

If people REALLY want me to explain I will, knowing in advance that IMO doing so would hurt town. So I'd need a LOT of pressure for me to do so. Which reminds me, how many mafia are in the game? Is there a standard percentage or something? What i've read says 2-3, but that's certainly not set in stone. If people are gonna pressure me to talk, what number should I consider so's to make sure that mafia isn't making me talk?

There is not a set number and each game is different unless it is game where the roles and everything is explained up front. and you just do not know who has what roles (not sure the technical name)

This is a larger game so I would expect more then the normal 2-3 and I would also expect other alignments as well with a game this large. Right now the only players with knowledge would be the non town players. -Your post has the slightest feel to me of I am new so maybe I can make it look like I have no clue on the amount of scum. But I maybe looking to hard into it and it might just be a new to the game thing.

Why are you being so negative? You are taking the fun factor, spitting on it, and then stomping it into the ground. If you don't like the game then leave, don't be a negative ass just to be a negative ass.

You start the game with a bold announcement and ignore everyone who asks you about it. Is this what you meant by "give me five minutes" to have a wagon formed on you? Come into the game, claim something, then post later with a negative attitude?

People seem to thing you have a grand plan, I just think you're being negative because that's how you play.

@Bluemooner, what I mean is if no one wants to share thoughts and ideas Town will not progress. Town will sit stagnant twiddling their thumbs not sure what to do or who to look at, gets town nowhere and they lose momentum. If you have any thoughts or ideas share them, might help others to see something or piece something together that they missed.

As for mafia I would guess 3-5 from the amount of people in the game.
To answer a few questions about our "edit elves"...
AgentCarr's punishment will end when the "audience" thinks he has suffered enough.
I have left a message in the Observer's/Dead thread asking their opinion.
And yes, I'm very evil as a moderator, the edit elves foremost...
All "pun"ishments are coming by way of the "viewing audience".
Seems some of you have ruffled a few feathers.
So far, I think the suggestion of punishment for Krypsyn is possibly the most cruel if he slips up...

I can't believe it took you until page 2. Were you trying to turn over a new leaf or something?

What you read as "negativity" is actually more akin to "bemusement". I have absolutely nothing negative to say or imply about this game. I'm having the appropriate amount of fun one can expect early in Day 1 with half the pack completely absent or giving only one-word posts.
It seems our "audience" is being benevolent. AgentCarr's post restriction is over given how early it occurred and AgentCarr's performance. Although all should be forewarned, they promise worse for a second offense and may not be so light-handed the next time someone slips up....

...and to prove the point, I'm totally digging this. Bookbler are having themselves a bunch of fun so far, I take it. Love the idea.

See?

I'm anticipating having great big radioactive barrels of fun this game.

Really? I was taking the "no way we will lynch anyone today might as well draw on the bathtub with soap crayons" as negative. I'm really not sure what other way to take it.

Turn over a new leaf, no. Was trying to see if anyone else cared to comment on your announcement, and other than CSPVG no one else seems to care. My stance has not changed on roles and PMs, never will.
It seems I need to read better - I did not see the verse / poem was the result of the edit. I am bit scared that punishments have already been picked for players and not one a when it happens basis.

Trent - care yes, I was hoping it was more then just amusement. Given yogs well thought out play style I was waiting to see what yogs had to say and where he was going with it.
