For the record, yes, I was messing with you (and everyone else)...
Just trying to build up a little suspense with the nightly PMs...

I'll just say that one particular player, in the midst of strange dreams, experienced the unexpected and strange taste of coconut...

flubbucket: What do you think a traumatized doctor would be capable of doing??
avatar
Lifthrasil: Counterquestion: What do YOU think, this little qualifier means? I bet you don't have any idea what the effect of this traumatization may have been and you are just beating around the bush, hoping to get some explanation.
No that's not it....nice mudslinging though.

I would equate it to a paranoid doctor....one who saves and "jails" also.
Yog's arguments for going after flub don't seem solid enough to vote for him on the spot at least from my point of view. On the other hand flub's absolute refusal to even consider Yog's claim in the light of what happened Yesterday seems a bit weird. A bit OMGUS-y, too.

I thought so. Also interesting that you see my question as 'mudslinging'. Together with that fishing for an explanation in the post before, it makes me think that Yog might be right about you. You still could be town or neutral, however. I'll have to go back through the thread and see what you contributed so far.

trentonlf: From the end of the day back to the point where yogsloth voted Hijack
So, what do you think about what I mentioned?

Oh, I know what he was capable of, do you?

Emm, ok... are you talking about our dead doctor or in general?

Yeah, I could use some of this too.

Asking what the vote count is does not correlate to flub being content with lynching Hijack or yogsloth. Just because yogsloth wants us to believe he has this all figured out and we should follow his lead blindly does not mean I will.

1. Do I think yogsloth is Town Cop? I'm still not sure, but I believe there's a good chance he is.
2. Do I think flub is scum? No I don't, I believe his avatar pertains to what he is and either yogs is again pursuing a townie because he thinks he knows it all and doesn't or he really is scum trying to pull a fast one on us. I lean toward him just being a conceited ass who really is a town cop, but he needs to get off his high horse and actually work with the rest of us town instead of pushing everyone around.

I do not know what he was capable of.

Why would I be speaking about anyone else but the dead doctor?? (Pointless questions)

@trentonlf - Conceited Ass would be town or scum, or just a prefix to any role??
avatar
flubbucket: I wholeheartedly doubt the role block as much as I doubt the town cop claim.

I will gladly be lynched as long as the very next lynch is yogsloth.

yogsloth's arrogance and hubris lead me to think he's scum. He's willing to take the big gamble in order to dupe town because he's just that brilliant.

agentcarr16's "traumatized" prefix is valuable information.
I've had my doubts about yogs' claim, but if you don't believe he is town cop then presumably he would be scum, if so why hasn't the real town cop claimed? Two scum in two days would mean this game is pretty much in the bag unless there's some really weird shit going on.

And also why would he have bussed CSPVG on day 1? I really don't see that CSPVG would have gotten lynched if yogs hadn't pushed so hard for him, do you think that was just a play to seal his towniness? I can't really see that working...

avatar
mchack: I thought a 1 for 1 is always good for town :D So I think it was a splendid day....
It is, but I'd still rather we hadn't lost our Doctor, and had our Cop known to scum. They can just role block him to uselessness or kill him, and unless we have a backup Doctor or another protective role of some sort then there's nothing to stop him being picked off whenever scum chooses to.
It's not a bad result for us, but it's not the best.

avatar
adaliabooks: Did anyone else have bad dreams last night? For some reason I had dreams of dying in unspeakable ways last night.
avatar
dedoporno: LOL yeah, I thought RW was messing with me since both previous games I had a similar stuff happen to me just to actually die 1 paragraph later.

Catching up now.
I believe that should have been a quote by trent (not particularly important or relevant, but I thought I'd point it out)

It does not, indeed, and it could very well not be what yogsloth has in mind. The combination of the things I mentioned did stand out to me.

Interesting point about the avatar. Since it's not possible to check now (the pics in quoted posts are extremely small), and I don't remember what he did in the past, do you remember what the case was when he was scum?
I'm sorry my post was so jaked.

(For clarity)

@dedoporno - Do you think yogsloth's vote is logical??

@Lifthrasil - "I bet you don't have any idea what the effect of this traumatization may have been and you are just beating around the bush, hoping to get some explanation." (your quote)

I don't know, there's quite some people that have it figured out and I really am unsure as to why you haven't (you even quoted flub acknoledging not having a town power role, without comprehending).
It's pretty much all put out there last day.... So before someone goes about explaining it to the last ones still not getting it (I'm not 100% sure scum has figured it out, too, yet) and in the process giving out all the roles in play, wouldn't this be an oportune moment for a massclaim?
With the scummiest players going first obviously. So that later on when explained they can't go "oopsy" actually I am soandso...
(I know that's not something a noob should ask for, but the way I see it town gains more info from that than scum, since after yogs play scum probably already knows pretty much who's a worthy nightkill for the next few nights to go)

To be honest I don't remember what his avatar was the last game he was scum. Flub sometimes changes his avatar to pertain to his role and sometimes he does not, I just get the feeling this time it does pertain.

Looking back, last game he was scum was CSPVG's gameshow one and his avatar was a fairly generic silhouette of a man looking at a computer, he was a Mafia Goon, so it didn't seem to pertain much to his role or alignment at all...

I'm not sure how this equates to flub saying he hasn't got a town power role... At worst it's a misunderstanding of agent's role modifier (and I have to say I can only guess what it means myself based on the discussion yesterday), which isn't particularly damning...
To be honest, I'm struggling to see what you mean here...

As for a mass claim, it depends on what kind of game we've got as to how useful it is. While I do find a mass claim is usually beneficial to town, it's also not much fun, and if it doesn't give us any info about who is town or scum then it definitely hands all the useful role info to scum on a plate.

Not likely we'll get alignment information as you well know. Allowing scum to choose their NK targets benefits town NOT AT ALL!!!
